Not really. Exhaust came with different shoulder launchers. Yes, the Nonnef set includes those different launchers but still, the wrenches look off for Exhaust.

EDIT: Also, they're apparently not even white to match Exhaust's colours.

Exhaust basically doesn't have any "appropriate weapons" outside of what Wheeljack has.

I mean, you could give him some made up stuff that's thematic like... I dunno, a sniper rifle that breaks down into a suitcase, I guess? His Japanese bio says he's a spy, but he's never come with any signature accessories.

Wheeljack, a 'bot who's all torque, uses his spanners to repair.

Exhaust, a merc who blows smoke, uses his spanners to tighten his captive's nuts.

I just ordered a trailer set for my ER optimus. May go back for the black colorations of it if I like this one for my dead Prime. Never bought a kit from them before but the trailer set adds a lot of beef to the trailer that I just like.

For anyone interested, I just finished painting Nonnef's spoilers with Vallejo model-color Ivory and it's a pretty darn close match out of the bottle. Now that it's dry, it could probably use an ever so slight touch of black or gray mixed in to make it a little more gray-ish and closer to Wheeljack's plastic color.

Did you only paint the top or did you paint the whole wing? Would love to see a picture of how it looks.

I think the pics make it look lighter than it looks in person.
I also didn’t finish touching up the silver since I picked up another spoiler upgrade and am currently using that.
So far so good, wiped it down with some rubbing alcohol to remove and mold release agent, and it seems to take paint just fine.
    But here you go!

    Thanks. It's
Thanks. It's interesting that the clear grey still shows up pretty good from the front angle with the white paint on the back. I'm going to do Molotow Chrome on the back side to see how it turns out.

I was initially given the wrong color fender and strut pieces for the ER Prime upgrade kit. I contacted Nonnef, they sent me the correct colors, and let me keep the other ones too. It took me awhile to figure out what to do with them. Actually, it took me awhile to really get into this set at all once I received it because of the issues reported with it, mostly the rear wheels bowing inwards. And then it hit me....

I used the fender pieces from the incorrect set to use as spacers for the inside of the wheelbase. Once you screw the wheels back in, they just stay in place by friction. But they keep the rear wheels from bowing.
    91594E77-B61C-4987-BFE0-A9DF1BEC3F58.jpeg
And they don’t get in the way of the support struts swinging in and out. And now I’m enjoying this set. I understand @Robots78 is creating and selling a spacer set to correct this oversight. I would recommend it. My specific case was a fluke, but I definitely don’t think anybody who buys this kit wants the bowing effect on their rear wheels. It’s an unfortunate side effect that I’m not sure if Nonnef was aware of, but at least there is a fix for it somewhere.

BTW, the minor tilt caused by the raised rear wheels is negligible IMO, YMMV. But I don’t think this looks bad.

I like that it raises the profile of the trailer when hooked up to Prime now. This feels more right.

I used the other extra strut pieces I have to now use as extra computer stations and monitors in the trailer now. Doesn’t get in the way of anything and the trailer still closes fine.

Still debating on getting the Toyhax stickers, but after I resolved the issues with it, I’m really enjoying this set.

    Got my Exhaust kit in!
    exhaust x4.jpg
No Merc faction for him, he's a Decepticon. It is kinda crazy how an unproduced prototype from the 80s spawned 4 figures thirty years later.

Anyways, I like how the missile launchers can tilt, though I wish the missiles themselves were shaped more like the others (or the one that actually comes with him!)

I'm glad there's an aftermarket to spruce up these figures, these add-ons are a definite improvement! But yeah, can't wait to get Runamuck and Runabout to round out my WFC Decepticar collection.

Love the ingenuity! That's a great solution.
I grabbed the grey and blue and Nonnef included the black fenders as a bonus, so I may have to do this with one of them...

Anyone think Nonnef should do the Conehead's weapons for the 3 new seekers coming out? It looks like Hasbro is just using the normal seekers weapons for them.
I may petition him to make some G1 looking ones for them in a limited run if he thinks it would be worth it.
Would that interest anyone on here? It'd certainly help to have some interested parties prior to asking him.

I can see why some would want them, but for me I am a cartoon guy and so I like them as is.

Diaclone Marlboro Wheeljack is very real. Not an unproduced piece.

I just decided not to screw the fenders down enough to make the wheels start to bow inward. Problem solved. Neat solution to the issue, though.

This is a great time to be collecting. It's amazing how a few accessories or weapons can completely turn a figure from good to great or even close to perfect.
