Looks like the HK event is just a showcase of what's already been revealed, so far from people there that appears to be the case, nothing new.

So when will ER wave 4 be revealed? Maybe in October at NYCC either virtually or in person or on some random Friday between this friday and October, maybe, thats my speculation

They say in Hasbro's Hong Kong con....just keep your expectations low for the time being. Also we don't know anything for NYCC

Well aside from random FF, NYCC in my country is the only big con I could think of where figures might be revealed either in person or online @home. If wave 4 isnt shown via FF, NYCC seems like the next logical option, granted, I have no idea about Canada Con or major cons of other countries etc

    Needlenose vs Tracks
    Wheeljack vs Spinister
    Mirage vs Impactor

I think all of them were actually planned and had designs. Then when Mirage and Impactor won, they were redesigned for the Siege with Cybertronian forms. Then when Earthrise came, we had Spinister and Wheeljack made. But they put Needlenose up for the Earthrise Poll because they still had the design blueprints. But since he lost, they may still use the blueprints and save them for Kingdom since that may be a mixture of G1 and Beast Wars. At least I hope so.

I've been voting for Needlenose since the first poll so I hope you're right.

Do you think Wave 4 of Earthrise might include some of those Walmart Netflix figures?

I just have a hard time believing the best looking mainline Earthmode Bumble Bee and Soundwave, in terms of G1, will only be exclusive to Walmart?

That's a good point but....I might have a possible theory:

Walmart has piss pour stock (SOME if not most of the time) and when they DO restock its only just a FEW and I mean FEW figures and call it there. Now maybe around Winter/Spring 2021 (at best) Earthrise Wave 4 releases and you'll find a Soundwave and Bumblebee in your local target for on the cheap. Now most people (in this case) would've just grabbed the Netflix figures already and put them in their Generations collection. Well not everyone got them since their Walmart wanted to just say "no Soundwave in store.....but it on site...no shipment for...a month". Second chance situation plus grabbing the Cassettes. Same deal with Bee second chance deal.

Runabout, Thrust, and probably Cyclonus are in that wave already. I bet they're going to have at least one deluxe repack since that's how the last Siege wave was, and maybe even a preview of a Kingdom figure similar to how Astrotrain and Apeface were previews of Earthrise.

Are we not pretty sure that Cyclonus is a SS86 figure?

He very well might be, but he wasn't listed in wave 1 if the leaks are to be believed. They might have just fit him into Earthrise because a slot was open.

Cyclonus has those pegs for blast effects. We don’t know yet if the 86 movie figures will have that?

I'm guessing they probably would. The 86 movie SS line looks like an excuse to do more G1 to me. It'll probably be in scale with WFC too.

I hope we get Tracks, Needlenose, and Quake with both of the Targetmaster's battlemaster partners in Kingdom.

Kingdom seems like it's going to be heavily Beast Wars themed, though like Earthrise and Siege, I'm sure it'll be somewhat "year/era" agnostic in (Siege had Springer and Ultra Magnus, Earthrise had Scorponok and Snapdragon) in order to just get updated figures of characters out.

I think Studio Series Movie '86 is basically what others have said: an excuse to do more G1 free of line constraints, but probably very much in keeping with them. That way they can do Leader class Dinobots over the next 2 years (like SS Devastator) rather than just do three for a single line.

The question of "where Cyclonus goes" probably is tied to also "where does Scourge go". What? Scourge? We haven't seen a Scourge you say. Well, count on him. For two reasons.

First, Unicron. When Hasbro pushed the Sail Barge for Star Wars, when it was finally release 18 months later, Hasbro simultaneously released at retail the Skiff that accompanied it, and updates of pretty much every character in Act I of return of the Jedi, within a few month. It was product synergy. Cyclonus is a big indication that something similar is going to happen with WFC Unicron. We'll get Cyclonus somewhere, and probably Galvatron. We're getting Arcee soon and Ultra Magnus and Springer in Siege. Kup, Blurr are rumored for SS '86. Perceptor, the long missing new Voyager "Blaster" with cassetts are thematic obviously too. But what of Scourge?

Welll... where does Hasbro want us to troop build? Hasbro embraced Troop building for Siege (and Marvel Legends, Power Rangers and Star Wars) big time. In siege, the got us twice. First with Reflector - everyone bought three deluxes of him. Then with the Star Scream Seeker mold. You paid $30 for Starscream and Thundercracker at retail. $30 for Redwing at Target. $90 for the Rainmakers set. $50 for the Amazon skywarp. ANd $40 for Netflix Hotlink. So off that Starscream mold, they got 6 purchases out of you, about $270, and you got 8 figures that are basically the same with different paint jobs.

With Earthrise, people are putting in orders for 3 - 5 allicons. and 2-3 Quintessons. Many of us dropped those orders by one because of the SDCC set. But the Guard there is not supposed to represent an allicon character. By the time Earthrise is over, we'll have likely spent well over $300 on Quintesson-aligned characters. Oh and don't be surprised when a Sharkticon 3 pack (deco'd like the SDCC set) shows up on Hasbro Pulse for $25 in the next few months. More troop build.

Beast Wars doesn't have many (or any) obvious Troop Build characters, unless they incorporate Beast Machines as well (and let's face it, some of us still would love a show-accurate Jetstorm). Which means if Hasbro is indeed intentionally doing troop building to squeeze money out of us hardcore fans, Scourge is the most likely character. If they're gonna want to do a couple-per-case, like or a case revision like they did Reflector, Kingdom would probably make the most sense. SS doesn't really do anything like that.

Oh, one more kind of unrelated thing. No way Elita-1, Soundwave and Bumblebee were originally Netflix Wave 2 figures. Covid-19 shutdowns delayed Earthrise pushes by months and seems to have cut it off with Wave 4 for Deluxes and Voyagers, rather than have a Wave 5, and with no sign of a Wave 3 Leader class either. My guess? Soundwave was the Wave 5 Voyager (Wave 4 is probably Thrust + a repack, maybe Megatron). Wave 4 Deluxes are probably Bluestreak, Runabout and 2 other redecos. I think in order to "reset" the release pacing for 2021 with Kingdom, rather than shift everything 4 months late forever, they're redistributing planned Earthrise releases. For what it's worth, sports teams have a similar problem. Technically speaking the 2021 NBA season would have began in about 10 weeks. Now the NBA finals are supposed to be September 30th to October 13th. In a normal world, the 2020-2021 season would have begun a week later, October 21st 2020.

Anyway just speculation, but I think informed speculation.

Good points well argued. I would also not be at all surprised if some of the Siege figs of TFTM characters saw re-releases, possibly redecoed, in SS86 too depending on when it drops. I'm specifically thinking of Springer here as he's pretty much screen accurate. I could see them pulling a reverse of the Netflix line though and the re-release being a cleaned up version without any of the battle damage paint apps to better match the movie version. A re-release of Siege Ultra Magnus seems less likely given how the alt mode is very different to his G1 design.

Agreed. I think a cleaned up Springer will absolutely happen for the just the reason you stated.

And given that the current direction to Leaders is "Voyager class with accessories" (which is a good move for the most part IMO), how is that not a shoe in for a Rodimus Prime that is basically the same toy as the G1 figure in basic engineer design. A voyager robot mode that integrates into a wagon-base-thing would fit. And sure we got a Leader Rodimus with PotP, but that was just a different kind of figure. Will combiner wars we got an "all in one" Ultra Magnus too. And while an all-in-one Rodimus is pretty cool in concept, no way is that ever possible with WFC-level engineering.

After seeing how accurate SS Cyclonus is I would expect them to produce a new Ultra Magnus if they release one for Studio Series or Kingdom.

NO, otherwise what would be the point of making them clean in the netflix line rather than battle damaged. in the fan friday video they were specifically mentioned as being the earthrise versions meaning they likely won't be in the main line

No they're not, Runabout and Thrust are looking like target exclusives in the guys that track down the product numbers in store systems are to be believed and nothing is known about cyclonus at the moment

So do the cyberverse deluxes, that doesn't really mean much
