Yeah i know what you mean. maybe it'll look less jarring with paint. if i had a better mounting point, i'd be able to get a swivel without breaking the sculpt, but as it stands, I think this is the best i can do. Anyway, this has been a fun little passion project for me. At this point I'll do anything to procrastinate on designing stents. I've already printed all the straight axes, so if anyone who already ordered wants one that swivels as well, i'll gladly oblige. Just shoot me an ebay message!
Love the improved/alternate design there. Either way it looks good, but seeing as I already ordered a non articulated version, I’ll stick with that one. Were you able to come up with anything to use for storing it in the trailer? I think that might be a popular improvement. But I’m still happy with what I got comin
I think it's safe to say that I share the same opinion with those who have expressed their opinions about the articulated axe. It's a nice thought and a good option for those want it; it's just not for me.
I think making you buy this separately would be a low key crime. I'll include these into all existing orders.
For those who have the Nonnef Roller, any decent sized accessory will likely not fit in the trailer with it. I don't have it, but that thing is huge. The upcoming Centurion Roller would be more forgiving. For painting, I would suggest Tamiya TS-73 clear orange spray paint. 2-3 thin coats should suffice. Of course, don't paint connecting pegs or the thin hand connector itself (use masking tape if necessary). TS-65 (pearl clear) is also another suggestion after the orange layers if you want the axe to be a little sparkly.
Wow those are some impressive business practices. Hasbro would put the adapter in an unrelated box set!
X26 is the bottle paint. If you want more even coverage and faster painting, then go for spray paint. Of course, if you do airbrushing, then you'd want the bottle paint plus some thinner. Edit: Tamiya bottle paints are generally usable without thinner when hand brushing. However, their clear stuff is more viscous and may need a little thinner to use for hand brushing.
The clip looks perfect, and thanks for including it for us! I have the Nonnef kit installed already, but I’m sure there will be a peg hole somewhere that this can be stored in. Heck it’ll probably fit on top of Roller in the trailer. But if I’m being honest, this will be displayed on my Prime, so I won’t be worried about storing it for quite a while. Thanks again!!
They’re all printed and ready for paint! It isn’t too much to manage, really. I expect to ship them out aug 6th. Thanks for the support!
**update*** 8/1 Paint came early and turns out I’m not very good at painting! Sorry if the finish isn’t professional! Getting these ready for shipment.
The imperfect paint and print lines just add to the effect of the energy blade I think. I like it and will definitely be ordering one or maybe even two. Never realized double wielding axes could be so awesome
