Not to burst your bubble reygen but sadly hes not wrong, even if you dont like it, his is not an opinion it is a fact. The only thing he had wrong was the arm length, those seem about right.

    Optimus is too tall
    grimlocks hands are too small
    his legs arent beefy enough
he was more green in the movie, tis is more g1 grey/gold

its a good looking grimlock, best of all the options available, but its not perfect by any means.

I should have replyed acknowledging my mistake when concerning the hands.
He isn't green enough, though it's more obvious in the bridge scene.
His feet aren't beefy enough, but the rest of his legs are.
Also, just to let you know, putting @ in front of the username alerts said person. Meaning even if they aren't on a given thread, they can still be alerted to it.

Personally, he should be bigger for the price they’re asking. The price increase should reflect a surprise announcement that they decided to listen to the fans and increase his overall size, but alas. I also think his Dino teeth could be sharper and more menacing like in the movie. Of course, the rest noted above would be welcomed, but overall, I’m fine with those. In order of preference I’d say increase size, sharper Dino teeth, larger legs/hands equal. And I like the colour, he does have a slight greenish tint which reflects the color in the movie.

Yeah, besides the massive price, the thing that bothers me the most is the dino mode. It seems as if the sculpt is almost entirely the same as it was 3 years ago. The brows are not contoured, the top set of teeth do not wrap inwards, the tall is too short, the feet are too tall, rear teeth are too long, and the teeth in general are too thick and blunt. This thing looks magnificent, but it seems as if they only focused on materials, and didn't try to better the sculpt.

The correlation between size and price is not always linear. I really wish he was bigger for that price... What it seems to influence the price of this figure the most is the R&D...40 cm is perfectly fine, but they decided against that due to playability and cost (I don't believe the latter)... In the end those decisions backfired at them.

40 cms would be fine if that was the height in bot mode, yes, but unfortunately, 40 cms refers to its length in Dino mode. This figure is barely more than 30 cms tall in bot mode which is why I feel it should be bigger.

First It was 40 cm in robot mode, but then they decided 32 cm was good enough.

And if my measurements are correct, he is only 31cm at the tip of his horn.

Well They should have stuck to their original plan, because this is Grimlock, not My Little Pony ;)

What'll make or break this for me is the transformation, so I hope we get videos soon.

They scaled him down but kept the oversized price.
Now the people who wanted a giant Grimlock and the people who wanted an affordable Grimlock both lose. Well done, G-Creation! :drunk

i think i should cancel Toy World TLK OP and then just buy this...... the dinobot w/ op looks great in this set, while TW TLK OP will destroy that illusion o_O

Yeah, but the people who want a really overpriced Grimlock as a standalone piece that is cost-prohibitive to casual collecters are in a great position!

    YouTube (Legacy):
Without a video (and from my breakdown of it G-Creation Movie Series - Project G (Movie Grimlock)), even if it's an awesome transformation [which it is], the cost still breaks it for me.

Yes, I think so too. and when they put "this is 3 years in the making" to boost the price, it makes me thinking, what changes? . Even the sculpt looks exactly the same

I still think this figure is amazing, but that price demanded what this figure could have been, instead of what it is.

I really don't see a major difference... people are just splitting hairs over the most minute things.

That, and when comparing based on one small, lower-res image of him in a standard "A" pose, you kinda miss that in many other photos, he has pretty skinny thighs, or skinny fingers, or very minimal green detailing, etc. And let's not even get started on the part of him shrinking down significantly for TLK versus AoE, either...

Edit: Out of (morbid) curiosity, I went back and watched the scenes from AoE again, his height, size, and coloration seems to change in almost every single scene, sometimes seemingly in the very same scene. Almost makes G1 animation seem consistent by comparison!

To me, his size on the TLK has more sense and it's "easier" for 3p companies to work with.
