I'll be pissed if they don't finish out the Micromasters. They're solid little figures, honestly, despite some minor issues.

During Siege, the design team said there were no plans to complete the teams, so even if they get to all the teams, they'll still be missing members

It sure would be a shame if those alt-headed pairs from the 10-pack didn't see releases as the pairs of characters they were actually based on, The Monster Truck Patrol & whatever they'd name the team of recoloured Topshot w/ Red Heat's head & Bombshock-ish headed Flak.

I’m actually shocked they didn’t at least come out with all the Micromasters for all the modular bots. We got ironworks and airwave but not greasepit or hot house. You’d think they’d have it planned out.

I think BTS there may have been a lot of budget-wrangling decisions around mass and parts count on them, just look at the Battle Patrol and the balance of mass and parts there is between Topshot & Flak (and same with the Rescue Team), Topshot's got the turret, heel supports, (very difficult) head turn, lever shoulder joints just generally way more a complex construct that Flak's chibi yoga brick, likewise in comparison to Red Hot, even though he has the neck swivel the other car micros lack, Stakeout doesn't get a waist swivel. Whereas the Micro car and jet pairings are, at least to my eyes, pretty even on parts and engineering, it's quite obvious that the more complex alt Micros dictated a simplifying of their partners (I think the Off Roaders demonstrate this too when you look at 'em side-by-side). Hence we get Flak with Topshot and not a funky new Sunrunner.
Plus an A-10 Thunderbolt-ish Micromaster would have made an even worse hilt for a sword than we got, wouldn't it?
I've done my best to voodoo complete teams by picking up a G1 Sunrunner & Sidetrack but it seems my shelf spot filling curse has lifted!

While yes an a-10 is a poor sword hilt, Cw powerglide (and viper as the color matches sorta) proves it could make for a feasible gun.

True, but no point telling me, it seems the design team had their little hearts set on a sword weapon mode for the Air Strikes. Probably so the Micros weren't all guns when they had Battlemasters to sell too?

Yeah I guess. I give up. Lmao. I might do what you’re doing and find very viable substitutes.

It really frustrates me that they won't complete lineups of characters - eg the micromaster teams, autobot target masters, titans return cassettes, the siege cassettes, the dinobots for the longest time (classics and FOC Grimlock but no others) and the 'pretenders' from potp

At the same time, they've made more of an effort to complete teams than ever since combiner wars. We've gotten the arielbots, stunticons, protectobots, combaticons, terrorcons, technobots, the dreadwings duo, dinobots, duocons, autobot and decepticon headmasters from 87, decepticon targermasters plus partners, seekers, datsuns, battlechargers etc etc. If they weren't interested in completing groups than many more groups would remain incomplete

It's the best way to guarantee that Hasbro get around to doing it - tempt them Fates!
I think the main misstep with the WFC Micros was going too Minicon PLUS Targetmaster on 'em. Rather than combined weapon modes they should've aligned them with the Weaponizers and given them all 5mm pegs to "powerlinx" to 5mm ports on the larger robots in the traditional Armada fashion where you basically have a small vehicle pegged to your Transformers as armour/a power-up so there's no additional weapon mode to factor in but the crossplay with the larger 'bots remains even without actual weapon modes but what you trade in for the weapon modes going out, besides slightly less compromised vehicle & robot modes, is all the micros get 3mm effect peg ports in their feet so they can be pegged posed onto any of the larger robots effect pegs especially good for base bots like Omega and Scorpy but they can also do crazy play stuff like surfing on the bonnets of your deluxe cars, etc., and if the budget was enough a wee moulded hand weapon like the upcoming Astro Squad's Fazer with an effect peg barrel on it.
Slightly more solid figures that still fully engaged in the crossplay ecosystem if in a slightly more tangential way.
Oh, I'm sure we feel ya. You know it.

That’s actually how I’m using the construction team as I’m calling them (irontread and ricon) when partnered with my dual ironworks

Anyone have any speculation regarding a release of Bitstream, Sunstorm, and Nacelle in this run? We already have 8 of the Cybertronian Seekers, and I believe I counted 11-12 different ones in the netflix episode 1. Dare I hope to be able to complete my seeker armada?

The Centurion droid is E33. Only 2 unknown Earthrise exclusives remain (E28 and E32), 1 of which is likely to be Bluestreak by process of elimination.

That's true. In fairness they really surprised me by doing all the three Insecticons, and the all the headmasters I didn't think we'd get the three decepticon beast headmasters especially.

Forgot to clarify that in my post. Fixed.

I think Bluestreak might be a Walgreens exclusive. Target already has 2 confirmed (Skywarp/Thundercracker, Pounce/Wingspan) and 2 rumored (Thrust and Runabout), Wal-Mart has the Netflix toyline and RED, and Amazon has Alternate Universe Optimus Prime, Prowl/Ironhide, and Dirge/Ramjet. Unless Target is getting another Earthrise exclusive that we don’t know about, I think Walgreens would be the most likely place to distribute him. I can’t think of the last time that Amazon released 1 Deluxe by itself (I’m not counting Siege Greenlight because she was packed with a Battlemaster).

2 left in the numbers we know, but Bluestreak, Runabout and Thrust are all apparent exclusives based on various leaks, so there might be more than we currently know
