That's been the mating call of Australian TF collectors for years.

I can't get too mad about the Netflix exclusives because they have been made available at a store that people can actually visit.

Kmart is in the majority of major shopping centres here in Victoria, so they're very accessible (current circumstances not withstanding).

Street date problems? What's that about? I picked up mine in the middle of no-where last weekend.

The problem though is that if I were to not be able to get these things here (Mildura), then I would have to travel several hundred Km to the next nearest. Right now, that's deep into the heart of COVID territory (Horsham), or over the border into SA (which I cannot cross). Even in ordinary times, that's absurd.

I really wonder some days if companies like Hasbro actually care about selling to us. And then I remember that no, as it happens, they don't - they care about selling to retailers. Which just sucks.

I totally agree. Toy collecting is supposed to be an enjoyable way to unwind, but exclusives just make it frustrating and disappointing.

I've mostly kept it fun for myself by almost completely dismissing exclusives and by not being a completist, only buying toys I like and can find in stores.

It doesn't do anything to solve the problem, but it's a little better than tearing my hair out over having two-fifths of the female Autobot combiner or eight of the twelve Primes because the remaining characters are not available in stores.

Edit: I would love to offer to pick up any Netflix exclusives you're missing and mail them out to you at cost, but I haven't gone toy hunting in almost seven weeks.

I'm trying not to think about what I've missed out on while I stay locked in at home.

Well, you said "here in Victoria". Statistically, you're probably somewhere in or around Melbourne. I don't think I'd care to venture out for mere toys either :)

I've been seeing more and more mentions of people trying to buy toys at Target (in the US) but leaving empty-handed because of made-up embargoes.

It must be a Target thing, late last year I tried to buy Siege Crosshairs and Spinister at Target (in Australia) and I got knocked back because they weren't allowed to sell the toys on the shelf.
I asked them to put the toys on hold under my name so I could buy them whenever head office gave the store the go-ahead to sell them. I called the store every few days for two weeks, each time I was told the toys are in the manager's office but can't be sold yet.

I got a phone call five weeks after I first found the figures to tell me head office had sent an email telling the store I could buy the toys.
By that point I had already bought them from Kmart three weeks earlier and $5 cheaper.

I had no idea this garbage went on here. I would go out of my way to make sure that the local manager(s) were aware of the lost sales and just how bloody stupid they were being. Looks like these idiots don't want to sell to us either.

I often have difficulties at Kmart, because each new toy has its own unique barcode and sometimes only one figure in a new wave will have its barcode entered into the system.

Fortunately, when this happens I just grab an older toy from the same price point and the staff member on hand can use the working barcode as a substitute.

Apologies to everyone who keeps checking this thread expecting an influx of new sightings.

EB Games has Earthrise Snapdragon in stock now (pre-order was supposed to arrive last Friday, got bumped to today). No sign at the more usual stockists.

At Mildura they had two, my order and one on the shelf. The store guy grabbed the other one for himself when he saw what mine turned into (dragon) and mentioned that he was into the old Beast Wars stuff (which is why the dragon mode appealed). I'm afraid I've bankrupted him by telling him what just got revealed for next year... :)

Can also confirm Snapdragon (2 of) and several other first wave Earthrise at EB Morayfield.

I did spot these in KMart Morayfield as well. As usual I can't be sure if these are new or not, but I don't recall having seen them before.

Ah, the Cyberverse Battle Call stuff. Yes, new. Another first for Morayfield :)

Kinda tempted by Wildwheel and Metorfire... They're almost, but not quite, deluxes, and I don't think that they'll ever be produced as a deluxe.

I know that neither Kmart nor Target will stock a titan; will Big-W? I was rather surprised to find Sky Lynx there, so maaaaaybe?

I got both my TR Trypticon and CW Devastator from BigW. But both were on sale and set up next to the entertainment section, rather than with the toys, so I wouldn't expect that to be an indication of any intent to carry the line.

Toyworld has been the only place I've seen with Titans on the shelf during the series run, but that was only Predaking. I feel like I saw Omega there but could very easily be mistaken on that.

I'm hoping to get Scorp the same way I got Omega - when Amazon AU knocks the price down to something more reasonable at the end of November, having only just started having him in stock a couple weeks earlier.
