I'd buy her with no 2nd thoughts. Half the height of Windblade makes a great model kit.

 

I saw some people posting fan art here. Zoner, who did the Arcee cover for IDW Optimus Prime issue 2 and the Windblade cover for Till all are One issue 6, has done a few based on Flame Toys Windblade

Yeah, they're very stylised. Personally I like a little more kibble. For me nothing tops Sarah Stone's original art in the comic, so I'm glad the furai kit looks like it'll let you build something closer to that. The cyberverse design is pretty cool too

I’d definitely hope if they make, say a Kuro Kara Kuri figure, they’d go for something more on the side of Sarah’s original line work. That design just matches a premium figure it seems so fitting.

 

I kind of can't imagine the Sarah Stone model in toy form. I think it might be a bit too smooth, like the G1 kit or the RED action figures. I quite like all the robotic lines and details on the Ban design. And now with the bigger wings I think its pretty much perfect. especially for painting, it'll be more fun.

 

Well they always have their own interpretations anyway. I’d also be happy with them making a whole new design like Jazz. I just want something distinct.

 

Yeah, I love that about the Furai Line. There's the trigger stuff, the IDW stuff and soon the Windblade. They're all different but they all kind of go together too.

Probably because it's an artist's intentional stylization?

I mean there's plenty of fanart out there where the characters don't look like actual Transformers. It's fanart. Hell, the third one straight up gives her actual eyelashes. It's all obviously stylized.

 

I know...? I was making an observation.

That combined Victory Saber is definitely epic, spectacular, etc. I love the GaoGaiGar-style lion chest.

I just want one that can transform and isn't $800, haha.

 

I still have some doubts about how all the added weight is going to affect Star Saber's joints. The ideal solution would be buying a second copy for the combined mode, but that's going to be really expensive.
Now the real decision is if Victory Leo is worth the price tag on his own.

 

Star Saber had some pretty good joints afaik. I hope they planned at least. I’m sure the diecast will be in the right place.

 

So basically this guy is glorified add-on. Still really cool.
