Went outside and saw Fed Ex dropped a big one on my driveway.  

Scorponok and Sky Lynx arrived from BBTS with a few other things. Box was HEAVY! At least this will keep me busy for a few days.

The skeletor is essentially the old body with a newly remoulded head, staff and sword and his blue is a bit lighter in an attempt to be screen accurate.

Nah I’ve got more to say but not much. As usual he’s just kind of the obligatory one when compared to the other two wreckers. The nature of his robot mode, and the lack of car kibble that actually appears in his alt mode (there’s some there but it’s from a real nascar, not a mad max thing) means that most of alt mode ends up in a relatively compact backpack. Articulation-wise he’s got all the major stuff sans an ankle tilt and waist swivel. Transformation is...fine, there’s one annoying bit but otherwise it gets the job done. Alt. mode doesn’t quiiiiite line up right but again, its fine. Overall he’s probably gonna end up being the weakest of the set, which I kind of expected. The other two lend themselves to an interesting and actually physically possible transformation much better as well so....yeah...that’s my thoughts. There aren’t really many flattering angles for this guy so see the stock pics for images? (Also I’m not at home right now, maaaaay do a photo shoot later but we’ll see)

 

I wish more peeps would give thoughts and opinions here more often! Even tho i dont plan to buy "X" figure, i still like to know the ins and outs. Good stuff. Hope to see pics later!

Alright, let’s talk WFC siege.


I Watched the first two episodes, and it’s...hmmmmm....it’s not bad, competently animated, decent sound design, etc. it just seems like it’s trying WAY too hard to be edgy. As such it lacks a lot of the charm of some of the better TF shows. The plot also seems a bit rushed, and some of the choreography reminds me of recent red vs blue stuff (that is to say it’s not great), which makes sense given roosterteeth’s involvement. I also can’t get over the fact that some of the characters are literally just digital representations of Hasbro figures while others are original designs, and the contrast is quite sharp. There are certainly remnants of the prime wars trilogy, but not NEARLY as bad. There are also some weird character choices here, some bots have been included that you’d never expect to see in a TF show, while others are strangely absent.

So far I give it a 6/10, it REALLY wants to be the opening scene from bumblebee, and to be fair it gives it a valiant effort, but the budget and filming chops just aren’t there.

edit: oh yeah, one more thing, I DO NOT like some of the voice acting for this show. Like most of it’s fine, but there are several characters where it just doesn’t fit. Like it feels like they cast one character, but for whatever reason stuck a different character in the role but didn’t change voice actors.
