I don't know what bothers me more, shoes on carpet or that floor in general.

    Poses are cool though.

Do Earthrise figures share SKU/item numbers at Wal-Mart? It says one that's about a half-hour away has Smokescreen. Has he been sighted at retail?

EDIT: Looks like someone in the sightings forum in Pennsylvania went for the same thing and his pick up order contained a Cliffjumper instead.

EDIT 2: Aaaaand the pick-up order was canceled. Glad I didn't get up!

To stay on topic, here's my Cliffjumper, who looks great with Netflix UM

This was mentioned earlier. They’re listing Wave 2 and 3 Deluxe figures erroneously in stock when it’s still (way) too early. Arcee’s listing got fixed but not all of them yet.

Wheeljack has always been a favourite of mine, but you've got to love that headsculpt on Exhaust.

Ugh. I don't know how people can stand to have dirty floors. It drives me crazy. When it comes to shoe etiquette, I think the Japanese have the right idea.

My mom was a rather fastidious housekeeper, and shoes were verboten past the little areas by the doors set aside for doffing footwear. I've maintained that mentality my whole life.

Back on topic, I recently gave my ER Prime a little makeover. My painting skills leave somewhat to be desired, so don't judge too harshly. The color I used for his legs was Tamiya TS-51 Racing Blue, which has a nice metallic sheen to it, and very closely matches the paint on Prime's hands. It's actually a smidge darker than Takara's paint, but close enough that the difference is moot. I used Testor's matte yellow acrylic paint for the triangles on Prime's arms, knees, and for his crotch. In hindsight, I wish I'd mixed it with a drop of white, as I think it would have probably been a match with the paint on his thighs. Alas, it went on really smoothly, and since I struggle with achieving smoothness by hand, and I'm the one who has to look at it, I left it as is. I painted the tail lights with Tamiya's X-27 clear red acrylic paint. I probably should have put a second coat on, but I wanted the factory silver paint that Takara applied there to show through for reflectivity. It's not as nice as having a clear plastic lens to put over it, but I think it looks better than just the plain silver. For the amber portion of his tail lights, I just used the matte yellow again. On the backs of Prime's legs, I painted the vents with a sliver paint (in hindsight, I wish I'd have used gunmetal instead- guess I still could), and then brushed it with black to highlight the recesses. It's more noticeable in hand. For Prime's maintenance droid/jetpack, I ended up painting the windshield portion twice. For my initial attempt, I mixed the Tamiya clear red and some Testor's gloss yellow to make an orange hue. Unfortunately, I accidentally nudged the canopy while the paint was still a little damp, and it left a crease that I just couldn't cover up. So, I wiped it off and mixed up another batch of orange, using Testor's gloss red and gloss yellow acrylics, applied by hand. The result is what you see. It's a little rougher than I'd like, and despite my best efforts, the paint still found its way into some of the recessed details, which I tried to clear with my knife. I wish the paint would lay down smoother and thinner, but it leaves too many brush marks, so I end up puddling and dragging the paint to achieve a somewhat smoother application. Still, it's nowhere near as nice as a spray job, and I may just have to either spray it (not looking forward to the masking that would entail), or just get the Toyhax labels and use those for the windscreen. I like the paint option better for its consistency, and let's face, applying decals is a royal PITA. I'm coming back to this post after having just done a little touch up with the Racing Blue to fix some areas I over or underpainted on the maint droid. In all honesty, looking at it in daylight a couple days after my initial paintjob, it's actually not too bad, for hand painting, that is. Given that it's not that essential to me, I may just leave it. Anyway, I thought I'd share some pics for anyone else who might be thinking of customizing their figure. Cheers!

As updates go, this they knocked outta the park. I've never been a fan of Sky Lynx, but this was done so well, I had to get one on PO. It just has so much presence.

My Skylynx arrived today and oh yes, that is one big spacechickencat! A great deco for the most part, good size but not overly monstrous. Yeah.. the wobbly legs on the bird section are a bit troublesome when you're trying to sit Optimus on his back. Easily a 9/10 Transformer. Easily.
