My only gripe was that the action sequences and fights weren't really interesting. Just a shot here and there and maybe a punch or two throw in. No mid-air transformations into a jump kick? They couldn't get a better fight choreographer? Even the stop motion commercials were more exciting.

I wasn't paying close attention, but was the Allspark an icosahedron? Or some other multifaceted shape that could also function as a role-playing die?

Dude that last episode shot of them walking towards Jetfire with the all "You're one of us now" knowing look.[IMG]
I love all these new takes on Bumblebee, Jetfire except they left out Hound:redface2:

They roll it for luck on the Ark voyage, and it comes up a 1. Optimus then trips over his own shoelaces, into the steering, veering them into the only nearby asteroid in the vastness of space.

Well I only watched episode 1, and I guess it was okay. Prime Vs Megatron was... lacking. I also didn't like the way Megatron and Prime's torsos stretched as though they were flesh. I also don't really buy Bee as some tough rogue.

overall I really really enjoyed it. Going to watch it with my son ( 12 ) when he comes home from school . Curious to what he thinks.

I did keep on thinking how epic this would have been had they used Cullen , Welker, Dan, and other surviving original voice talent of the g1 cartoon.

With that said, if they couldnt get welker to do megatron then this guy is a welcome back

Star scream Is good too and Im glad they kept him, but of course I would have preferred Chris Latta ( sp ?) but he passed away long ago

    Dont really like soundwaves voice

I also dont like Soundblaster and Soundwave thing

I wish it was a part of the g1 cartoon continuity too

So ,I do have criticism of the show but overall it was really really well done. I would give it a 4 out of 5. Had it done the things above I would have given it a 5

Thats just my opinion. I know why things were done and not done . Its just what I would have preferred to have had to have given it a 5

Just finished watching. Overall, I enjoyed it. Probably not one of my favorite series, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've got plenty of criticisms but all in all I'm looking forward to seeing where this is headed.

As someone who grew up on the G-1 Cartoon this is a dream come true. Loved every microsecond of this series.

Up to episode 3, and I gotta say, it's good......BUT.....

...and man oh man, I wish these recent TF cartoons would RECOGNIZE this simple concept:

What makes characters SO memorable and likable is the VOICE! Some of the best G1 characters had nothing to even do with what they did in the cartoons, but for their voice.

All these characters seem sooooo lifeless, and everything they say is sooooo labored and dreary, and super generic. Starscream has a decent voice. But the rest, sooooo blah.

I wish they would invest a little more time and money in getting voice actors that actually bring these characters to life with a personality.

OTHER than that, yeah I'm enjoying it. (but I do feel that one tweak would elevate the show greatly)

edit: I did get a laugh at how their CG models even had the little Battle Master explosive effects pegs on them. lol

another edit: Just finished all 6 episodes and besides that one critique I posted about above, I absolutely loved the entire thing! Well done.

....oh, and btw, WHO is the spoiler character for the Walmart toy? Do we still not know?

I liked it. I mean I watched it through to the end. I still think the High Moon Studios videogames did a better job retelling this part of TF lore.

Sometimes I could not understand Soundwave.

    Just binged it.

I don’t come around here much anymore because “adulting” so I don’t know if I’m gonna have time to wade through all the pages. I’ll assume some things have been spoiled but I’ll try to avoid.

    Okay,

Overall, not bad. I still feel it could be better. My personal canon at this point is still High Moon’s WFC/FOC. It can still squeeze into G1 continuity or Prime.
    I’d say 4/5

CGI: ugh, better but still missing something. Good god can’t we get someone to animate Alex Miline’s style? Also, CGI worlds always feel so empty. Granted it should work in the “Last Days of Cybertron” era but still,,, ugh. Even 1982 TRON seemed more alive. (And this is a criticism I’ve had with all the CGI shows. Prime, Cyberverse, Beast Machines/Beast Wars.)

Okay, here’s one big problem I have. (Nerd alert) can we please get a director or producer to ride heard on using the RIGHT characters for the RIGHT parts? This isn’t about “edgy changes” or “character growth” this is literally trying to use a screwdriver to hammer nails.

You have a part for a Doctor, an Engineer/inventor, and an intelligence asset. AND you actually have the RIGHT characters for a change, and you mix them up!?! Rachet=Doctor, Wheeljack=reclusive inventor, Red Alert (security) is a stretch, but he’s always been underused so putting him in the opening scene (though Jazz would be the obvious choice, and Prowl a close 2nd) would make more sense. Still, had to have that throwback to G1 and have Wheeljack & Bumblebee open the show. I would rather the characters stay true to who they’re supposed to be.

Also Hound & Ironhide should have been reversed. Okay I’ll drop it.

    Okay my final disappointment.
I can’t say spoilers because it involves shifting allegiances. If you’ve known for 35 years that so and so is a Decepticon, you’re gonna go WTF when you see him as a Bot, it’s not THAT they change sides, it’s when.

And frankly, the When is what was terrible. It was like the writers found themselves in a hole, or didn’t have enough time and were like “we’ve got 90 seconds in the last 5 minutes of episode 7 to kill, let’s make it that moment that Deaths Head (tm) decides to become a “Freelance Peacekeeping Agent” even though we wrote him as a pacifist monk of Primus as a clever twist.” They weren’t surprising and they were jarring. That said, I almost began to buy into,,,,, spoilers,,, but they just didn’t sell me and of course, the obvious happened.

The production splurged and scrimped (reused renders and minimum action scenes)at the same time. I really do wished they got Cullen and Welker (aka WJ,Mirage,Megs,SW etc.....boy, that would be one big paycheck) and Burton for Shockwave.

Maybe season 2 will have an added budget?

No more Wally Burr type of a taskmaster these days.

The ship is probably Astrotrain with Megatron and a few Decepticons inside, just approaching the ship to finish off Optimus and the Autobots.

he’ll live through the entire series this time, then there’ll be an after credit scene where he’s talking to Rachet and he’ll say, “I can’t believe I didn’t die this time.” And then Wheelie will take him out with a sniper slingshot.
