His shoulders sit lower in the bull config and the armour can get in the way of some articulation but I don't think there is anything major. It's easier to tab the 2 side pieces in with the shoulders in the right config

 

That looks awesome. Did you have to take the head apart to paint the eyes?

 

Thank you! For Landbull yes I took the bull head apart. There is a single screw. Some touch ups required after replacing the head. IMHO Predacons should have bright eyes.

 

Did you do the same for Ferocious?

 

I did yes, but I couldn't take the head apart. I just had to go for a fine brush and be brave. The yellow is by Tamiya if anyone wants to know, it's the same yellow used for MP Bumblebee v2. I went for some chrome on the teeth as well, because why not?

Those painted eyes do look so much better. Wonder if these do well enough, if another company like Dr. Wu, would come in and make an actual light up feature for the eyes on all of these, rather than the light piping?

 

Does anybody see a way to remove the hand on Ferocious? Even if I can get a replacement for his snapped thumb, I can't see a way to actually swap parts.

There is a pin at the base of the wrist, but it only goes in one direction so there is no way to tap it out from the other side

 

Mine has the exact same problem with the left leg. I also ordered from Chosen Prime. They got a replacement part for me but it was the wrong one. Cang Toys sent a replacement for the beast mode leg instead of the robot knee I needed. Still trying to get it resolved. I've had Ferocious for two months and he still can't transform.

At least my Landbull is perfect.

 

When I put in my replacement request, I ended up specifying I needed an entire arm assembly. I can't find any way to take the figure apart, except under the shoulder, and even then, I'm not sure.

 

Too bad it wasn't the right leg, as they have a good part for that one!

 

Thats my biggest gripe. The lack of visible screws or pins sure looks clean, but man are you screwed if you need to fix or paint anything.

Its too bad Cang Toys appears to be going with an Gorilla as the 6th member. I'd love to see an African Elephant done right in the predacons theme colors. it would fit the proper African animals theme perfectly. It would certainly give the the chest and upper legs the needed mass. Cant wait to see the rest of the team, the first two are spectacular. As a bonus, they do scale with the Zoids Energy Liger ( Black Lion ) perfectly. Its a nice preview of what should Razorclaw should look like.

As for whats next year perhaps, bring on modernized versions of the Dinobots. I hope they continue with beast combiners and do a proper sized Abominus after.

 

Next time once the Monkey Pants come out, we'll call him Thunder Ape!!!
