I pre-order with Superbuy, but I have only been notified once. But to be fair once I know a figure is coming in soon I check the listing daily for replenishment listings. Once they show up I initiate an enquiry to get it paid. So I tend to get to it before they notify me. All of my Fanstoys figures have been from the same seller and the one notification came from one of those.

From what I gather not all the sellers send notifications. I would assume if superbuy receives a notification they let you know.

When you initiate the replenishment you have to edit the price to be the preorder price minus your deposit. So for instance hunk was 520 on taobao page. I paid 10 yuan deposit and the preorder price was 420 so I edited to 410. Then I added it to superbuy checkout. You click the edit button change the price to the discounted price minus the deposit. The price price is not always easily apparent so I often open an enquiry to find out whats due.

Once you hit edit you change the price and then click the reason. I use other and then I state the reason.

Your reason needs to state its a replenishment payment, reference the original order its from (your pre-order order), and state that the agent who initiated your original pre-order needs to handle the replenishment. Only your original agent has the order info necessary to pay the replenishment.

If your unsure just ask their online help what to do. I did not even know you could even pre-order with superbuy till I asked them.

There is another place you can add a note right before you get to the payment page and I copy the replenishment note there as well.

My Superbuy strategy is a little different from @Hawkwave's
I paid preordered deposit initially several months ago and the other day I paid the remaining balance. I did these directly on Taobao myself.
However I use Superbuy's warehouse address as my shipping on address on my Taobao profile. That way when I pay the remaining balance and the seller ships my order out, it gets shipped to the Superbuy warehouse for storage. It sits there until I am ready to have other incoming items added to my pile there or until whenever I'm ready to have Superbuy ship the item(s) out to me per their shipping options and fees.

 

Anyone still able to buy from TaoBao in Australia? Currently I can't pay with my Visa Credit card during checkouts on both PC website and mobile app. not sure what's happening  

 

I tried consolidating an order today and Alipay wouldn't accept my card. i tried consolidating another order and that worked. Went back to the failed one and that failed again. So it's very strange. I'm going to give it a day to see how it goes

 

Just pid another preorder for Hunk, 500 this time.

 

I've tried with two different sellers that I frequently use but both failed. and I've also noticed that it requires me to key in my cc details (used to be automated like eBay) whenever I check out. really strange.

 

I haven't tried today but fingers crossed it will work. I've always had to go to an Alipay screen and input month, year and CCV number. Hope it's a glitch that gets sorted before Dunerider or MP44 KO are due. Stuffed if I can't pay!

Have you tried another card? I haven't yet as I use a FX free card and want to avoid the FX fee from regular cards

 

Could the transaction be blocked by your bank? Have you called them to find out?

 

Possibly. I'll look into it on Monday when they open their call centres. The thing is I use it heavily for Taobao and that's it. Not sure why it would block now. I also used the same card in Vietnam and Singapore and got texts for possible fraudulent transactions. But none this time.

I got a much higher price from Rabbit, so I asked him. He said it depends when you pre-order. It's cheaper last year.

So Hunk came in at LBP and I paid the balance and have it going to Superbuy warehouse. I listed the product on Superbuy site and I got a message to confirm but it won’t me confirm the product. I typed in a reply in the box related things being fragile and clicked confirm but I get a message that I need something in the reply box. Has anyone else had problems with this?
