Still slogging through AC Odyssey and I've come to realize, I'm bored. Or rather, I'm bored trying to just play the story missions. I was hoping to finish it before Destroy All Humans came out, but I'm only at the portions where your mother is going to meet you outside of Sparta, I still have to meet my father and face off against the sphinx and other creature, along with going through the quests to hunt down the remaining Cult members. I don't even think I would be able to finish it even if I had another full week before DAH released.

Yeah, I fell off the AC series because of how much repetitive filler kept getting added to the games. I don't want to fill out the map anymore, I'd much rather have a fun stealth experience that was really well done at 8-12 hours. The Ezio series still hit the high mark for me, which is unfortunate because I used to be a big fan of the franchise.

Well no, the problem for me is I love the filler and hate trying to just rush through the story. However, yeah, Odyssey is just way too big for its own good.

I did finish Layla's story portion yesterday with Atlantis, so now it's just Kassandra's story I need to complete.

Currently playing Ghost of Tsushima. After the huge disappointments that were Death Stranding and TLOU2, finally a recent triple A game that I like!

I've always wanted some sort of ninja/samurai themed GTA-like and this is pretty much what GOT is. The fighting mechanics are simple but efficient and result in nice actions on the screen, the setting is incredibly beautiful in HDR, the overal atmosphere is pretty nice and the game doesn't feel too repetitive (for now) thanks the new skills you unlock little by little... I'm pretty pleased until now.

Played this game for 2 days. I beat it yesterday. Amazing game. I see it as a "What if I was infected by the Thing" simulator. It also takes me back to "The Ooze" on the Genesis.

I already mentioned how Horizon Zero Dawn seems like a mish-mash of other popular games (Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Skyrim). I've never played a Monster Hunter game, but recently I can imagine it might have had some influence too.

As the wild robot animals have gotten harder, I've had to pay more attention to their weaknesses and vulnerable areas, and plan accordingly before engaging. Even the simplest robots can stomp you into red paste if you take them lightly, so planning is very important. I was actually getting a little bored with the combat before I realized this aspect of it, which is really engaging my brain. One enemy was tearing me apart until I started experimenting with traps...and it went down easy. Taking down these robots is a huge rush, because they are so dangerous and require more than just spamming the attack button.

My only real criticism of the game so far is the human AI. For the robots, wonky AI kind of makes sense, since they're machines. But for human enemies, it's kind of silly that when one finds a dead body, they search for me for a minute and then give up, as if everything must be fine even though there's STILL A DEAD BODY LYING THERE with a spear hole through his chest o_O

    Breath of the wild still.

Sorted the motion control. I was using a wired controller when it was running on the tv, still prefer the wired controller in most instances but I know how to work the gyroscope consoles when needed now.

Haven't followed the main quest. I've just been finding stables and solving shrines. I realized that the overly legendary names appear on the map when you zoom in. That makes me want to activate more towers but I need to work on dealing with guardians. I'm that the time lock and four smacks might do the trick.

Spent the day playing Destroy All Humans. It's as fun as I remember, but I really wish they had updated the gameplay with an actual map you can look at. I hae 29 of the 30 probe collectibles and have no freaking idea where the last one is. I just keep going around in circles without success.

Spent a few hours playing Yakuza Zero last night. I absolutely love this game but there is some glaring anachronisms like billboards and vehicles that are clearly from the last decade in a game that is supposed to take place in 1988.

That's the sound of me falling out of my chair.

For you see, I have been living under a rock these past seven years and I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS.

(Goes running to Newegg to buy a PC laptop.)

I finished GTA: SAN Andreas a week ago. I loved the map, and I was surprised at how advance the game was, in terms of the various activities you can do in the game, and I liked the missions. It has aged a bit (especially when you look at the character models), and the auto aim can be overpowering, but I had a fun time with the game.

I also managed to squeeze in A Way Out. The story was well written, and kept me engaged throughout its course. The activities really highlighted how well co-op/split screen works in be game. And graphically, it’s pretty good.

Now, I’m eyeing on Yakuza Kiwami 2, since its on Xbox Game Pass.

I just started playing the game, Grounded and it makes me wish it was an official Honey I Shrunk the Kids game.

I'm still trying to track down a physical copy locally, I'm an idiot for not buying it when Walmart had half a dozen in stock.

I'd like to be playing Ghost of Tsushima, but apparently, everyone and their dog is playing it right now, which leaves exactly zero physical copies anywhere near me.

Knocked out another batch of missions in Destroy All Humans and farmed brains for upgrades. Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion I will not be able to Platinum this game as I cannot beat most of the challenges for shit. I even tried loosening up the camera sensitivity like someone recommended and still can't do them.

WHo was your favorite character of SA? Mine is Woozie. He's got some of the best dialog such as when his goon comes running, throws down two poker chips and Woozie says, "One of them is a fake?" Carl asks, "How 'd you know that?" to which he replies with, "Why else would he come running in here panicking?" Or the scene when Carl tells Woozie he's black and Woozie says, "Carl, I'm blind, not stupid." :lol  :lol  :lol
