I\'d give it a 6.5/10. It\'s good! The best cartoon transformers since Prime (although it isn\'t hard... considering the competition). The script is tad bit cringe worthy. But I do love the dark atheistic. Really dislike how soundwave sounds and the amount of characters that share the same voice (kinda). Just wish it was Peter voicing Prime.

 

I'm not kidding, it sounds like one dude doing several impressions. Optimus and Starscream stood out to me as the worse.

 

This is TV-Y7. They say “ass” within the first ten minutes.

The rating system has clearly gone to shit.

 

It was okay I feel like this could have been a movie verses being a Six episode series I feel like there were things that they could have covered more of and maybe they'll cover them in the other parts but who knows honestly I'd give it a 7 out of 10 but that's me

Jeesh. Some of you guys are being really rough on this show.
It certainly isn't the frenetic craziness of the G1 series, but it isn't intended to be that.

I found this spin on the origin story interesting and the character development is the best we've gotten since Beast Wars. It also has a tangible love for the source material. Can we really ask for much more than that from a Netflix cartoon? I honestly didn't focus on the slow dialogue until I read some comments here, but I don't think it is Captain Kirk level bad.

Here's my only 2 gripes:
1. Can someone please tell the writers of Transformers stories what strong leadership qualities are??? Optimus' character flaws are so incredibly jarring. They have his integrity represented well, but his decision making is just flat out stupid sometimes.
2. Megatron's lips!!! Am I the only person that just can't stop staring at them when he is on screen? WTF?

 

Yeah, I had a slight glimmered of hope after the early reviews, but now looking back, the early reviews sounded way too similar to that Netflix Godzilla anime. They were slightly positive mix reviews but as the show aged, people begin to realize how bad it really was.

Welp, I'll watch some of it tonight and see how it is.

 

The only other curse is a "damn," I can't remember when though.

They do like to drop the word "murder" pretty frequently though. I only remember one instance of "kill," but several "murders," even when "kill" would be more natural.

I don't think anyone's really compared it to G1 as a criticism, given how low a bar that is.

 

Just watched it . . . and it’s better than the Prime Wars Trilogy. But that’s not saying anything really. It does still have a lot of the same problems; strange movements, boring fights, nonsensical plot decisions and strange discontinuities. The voice acting was still drab and I could easily predict exactly what would happen next. The most surprising part was who they got Energon from. Also, Bumblebee should’ve been Cliffjumper and the person they did get Energon from should’ve been Ratbat. After watching this, I decided to watch the newest published episode of Cyberverse (episode 18) and geez that was so much more entertaining. Not great but worth a watch. Hopefully Earthrise will be more interesting.

 

I watched the full thing, and I gotta say ... it was great. I wasn't super thrilled with a couple voices, and using a lot of characters' models as generics sometimes made it hard to tell who's who (especially with the seekers), and I kinda wish that certain things that happened to certain characters didn't happen ... but those are minor complaints. Overall it was an amazing show, and I can't wait for more. I legitimately don't understand why anyone would be disappointed or even hate the show.

 

If you go to your account settings, and set preffered language to japanese, you should get the japanese dub

So uh what was the point of Rung in the Netflix subline?

Overall I didn't dislike it? I'm more interested in seeing what they do with the Autobots that remained on Cybertron than left on the arc though. The voices were better than I expected and I liked the action scenes that we got. Only ~7 body types actually transforming was weird though.

I liked it more than Prime and honestly that's good for me.

I watched 3 episodes, and it was good. Uh.. Shockwave's voice sounds weird. And Optimus, is worst Optimus just like TFP Optimus..

 

Just a few minutes in and Netflix had to go a give Bush's line about wining hearts and minds to Megatron. Fuck Netflix...

 

I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to but god was Optimus insufferable, I was rooting more for the Decepticons most of the time.
