I mean, it has hands in the legs and a split in the waist so they probably are planning a trailer.

 

I love how they showcase the minicons and use the original Sparkplug instead of their own lol

 

I agree Takara's seems a bit more aerodynamic than the original.

 

This looks so good, but the torso just looks too long for my liking, and I can't help being drawn to look at the area.

It is definitely too short. The grill on Armada Optimus Prime was like a bulletproof vest, whereas here it's more like a crop top.

The waist looks way too skinny from the side too, it just looks odd. I really love the combined mode at least but I just wish the base robot mode looked just as good.

EDIT: I can tell the waist makes up the joints for the shoulders as well for the Super mode so I guess some sacrifices needed to be made to make that Super mode look as good as it does.

 

Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the proportions myself, but I think we should reserve judgement of the overall appearance until it's colored. I think that'll effect my own and maybe some other people's view of it.

EDIT: I've stared at it long enough to figure out the specific proportion issues, at least through my eyes, and it's mostly that the legs aren't long enough. The proportions still make sense from the perspective of humanoid proportions but it's definitely not preferred. However I think it's a fair trade for better proportions in combined mode.

I seem to have missed a lot, but now there's so much great stuff to see.

I hope that isn't the stopping point and it can all fold up behind the head like all that stuff on the old one, then my main gripe is fixed! Although it will be backpack city.
