Yeah. That red needs to be brighter. Thank god it's easy to pull out and repaint.

Now I just need Show.Z to actually ship mine. They told me they've had warehouse issues and my Megs and other orders (plus other forum members' orders) have just been sitting in their warehouse unshipped.

Good to know. I don't have Megs yet but now I can start sticking those logos on the others so they'd all have identical ones. I wasn't sure if the smallest size would fit on Megs chest until I saw yours

Got 2 of this guy today. I cant see any of the paint imperfections beneath his chin as others do. But..............

I love this guy's look, Hes solid n prefer him in robot mode to the newage one which is also good. I have the IF one too n thats great too but Im REALLY impressed w/doomsday right outa the box. So fun to pose as well.

Sidenote, Im not usually a fan of the MS plastic at all but its good on this guy this time round, dunno why. Not a lot of paint but im lovin him. Will try transformation later. But a massive hit for MS imo.

 

Hi folks, have put up a review on Youtube, search up magnum prime Megatron.

It's a cracking looking figure, very different approach to Newage, super articulate as Mick says above! Agree the plastic does have some good heft, but...the transformation design is way too complex to be using some of the soft flimsy connections.

That said, he looks amazing, and is tons of fun!

 

Good thing Magic Square uses this flexable plastic, otherwise the figure would just explode.

 

Man oh man the leg transformation is horrible. Couldnt tab the front of the handle together

Rest of the engineering is grand but beware of the barrell dont push it in too much or it will get stuck n u have to pry it out n it feels u will break it.

 

Anyone got a picture of thise dude next to the OS jinbao Optimus prime ( KO dx9 prime)???

 

Could be worse I lost mine trying to repaint it a lighter red and had to order another one
So I'm turning the extra one into battle damaged megs and will be adding extra damage details in a few days. This is what I have so far, filled in the missing eye gaps and painted them in.

Here was a 10 minute photoshop job I did with some pics


Gonna add a lot more battle damage, but wanted to see what people thought so far

Here is is with the one I didn't screw up. Eyes on both are a lighter red. Ab blinkers have a high gloss coat, I fixed the red arms on one, Added darker grey to bring out details. You can see all the work I've done on the battle damaged one so far.

 

Just got mine opened and out of the package. I haven’t transformed it yet, or played with any of the accessories, but just looking at the figure in hand...it is gorgeous. In pics it looks like his chest may be too beefy for my tastes, but in hand the proportions look terrific. If they made an MP scale inspired by this release...and threw a coat of paint on it...I would finally have the perfect Megatron figure.

 

Just got mine from bababobo00712. It did not include a light. Also, my copy has a bit of flashing on the upper bicep (front and back), enough that the bicep rotation is completely blocked:


Those who received the light, is it something that is readily available to purchase separately?

 

Just wanted to say if you want to put a decepticon symbol on the damaged one and not have it peeling off I'd recommend looking into waterslide ones, they'd be great for conforming to the grooves

 

Got mine today from baba too. I did not get the led either.   I did get all the extra hands and stuff. Weird.

Luckily I did not have that flashing issue.

 

Mine didn't come with the light either. I ordered from the chosen prime. The only real issue I've had is the barrel is a bugger to get out if you accidentally push the silencer up too far. Can attest to the plastic quality tho.

 

Definitely! Use a setting and softening solution along with it and it should end up looking fantastic.

And don't miss the white casing.

The battery is the LED.

 

yeah, I got that bag. Even have the white casing. Definitely didn’t get that battery (led) though. It would be hard to miss in that packaging.

 

that should be a super easy fix. just get a blade and slice that right off.
