At this point, the photos are taking longer than the trailer!!!

They will end up like McD photos. You look at them and you think YUM!!!, then you get the actual burger .....

 

Yeah, and it turns out one is soggy cardboard and the other is plastic?... wait... this sounds accurate.

 

I know everyone is very sick of waiting for the Sunbow deco trailer.
But ever since the "T" Youth/Toy decos were revealed, this is what I've been waiting for.
And we still haven't even seen Flipout or Gravestone yet, let alone a trailer.

So, yeah, we're all waiting.  

 

I love these stunticons, I went a little sideways cause I love the g2 colors of deathwish/deadend. So I have all g1 figures except that fella.

And man do I want that trailer to be released sometime this century...

 

XTB have 2 more days left to deliver on what they promised us

 

I mean I think it’s rather suspicious. They can post images from Toy Fair and other shots through glass with glares and all that, we are supposed to believe that they are doing a professional shoot to give us a taste of the trailer? That’s a load.

I’m guessing it’s not even in production but whatever, by the time it comes out it will fit in with my masterpiece collection about as good as feral rex, make toys giant or Shuraking. They make nice standalone stunticons though.

I bet this trailer will sell out of preorders too. With everything going on with fans toys selling out, some folks will probably order like 5 or 6 of this thing. Not gonna get my hopes up of even snagging this thing once it goes up.

 

So I assume xtb said they would have a trailer reveal on the 30th?

Boy I hope so, I'm tired of my combiner wars menasor. Even with the upgrade kit, it's pretty much garbage. I now keep them all separate and display each in bot mode.

 

The sad truth is, they don't have to care or respect their fans, or update anyone about anything......because we, the fans, will buy what they put out, when they put it out. There are very few people/fans that will be "what, the trailer/figure/whatever was not released on the date they stated it was going to be! I'm not buying this now".

They know anyone who has interest in the trailer has already boughy Motormaster, so they are probably in for a trailer, and will buy it whenever it is released. As well, the person who bought their Motormaster HAS TO buy their trailer if that want to complete the figure/Menasor, so it is not like of they don't release it soon, the fan will buy someone else's trailer for Gravestone. XTB doesn't have to do anything......not communicate, not get a product our, not respect fans enough to dribble out an update now and then......because they know they already have the sales/your/our money.

 

Combiner wars menasor looks pretty ugly IMO. Which is why i purchased Fansproject, TFM and then XTB.

I strongly considered DX9's version of menasor but the strangely long trailer was the deal breaker.

PS i stated 2 days because here in Australia it is the 29th today. The Yanks are a day behind us

The issue is that the company is constantly setting expectations and then failing to meet those expectations.
Case in point: we weren't aware that Gravestone wouldn't come with the trailer until late last year. The trailer was eventually advertised with an April 2020 release date.
Company went quiet.
No trailer in April 2020.
Company then advises in May/June that it is *still* working on the trailer (which was due in April), but that photos and pre-orders will be available in June. Also, the tone of their announcements are geared to increase anticipation.
No photos or pre-orders, but they re-release some old figures.
Company advises they have sent the trailer to their photographer in July, photos should be coming soon.
More than a week later, no photos or pre-orders.

This doesn't even take into account the Quintessons, which they advised were almost ready and then asked what colour they should paint them... which means they hadn't decided on a colour...

I can understand that deadlines slip and you need more time, but I'm honestly getting a little tired and frustrated by XTB deliberately stoking the hype and then failing to deliver - as in, I am now at the "I will buy this product to complete my set, but I will reconsider buying anything in future until the point it has actually been released" stage. So, I might be back in the market for a Springer.

 

That's not true. At least not completely. We've seen at least a few people in this thread who were in and then got so exasperated that they sold off their Stunticons and went with dx9 or Fanstoys. We've also seen at least a few who have decided to content themselves with the set of bots and just skip the trailer, again going with a competitor for the combiner or just living without.

As for me, I'm still in for exactly the reasons you say, but I will not buy another combiner from XTB. I'm also losing interest in their Quintesson - I'd planned on buying one but was never desperate to own it and all these delays are just putting me off from my desire to own it. I understand that the pandemic is likely the cause of much of the delay but, like @bobagorof said, I just can't stay interested while a company keeps trying to keep interest stoked without delivering anything. The same thing happened to me with Gran Turismo 5 on PS3: I was hyped for the game, but then they kept releasing more and more teasers while seemingly getting no closer to finishing, and then releasing a paid demo under the name "prologue." By the time the game came out, I didn't care any more and I never bought it or any other Gran Turismo game since. I've still got my pre-order for Paean (even though they're overcharging like crazy) and I'll still get the trailer but I think that's it: no more XTB for me. And I'll reiterate: I was someone who loved XTB. Even many of the releases that most people derided, I bought and extolled on the boards. If someone tries to dangle me, I cut the fucking rope.

LOL @ the folks who are comparing a Retail Chug CW Menasor to an actual MP Menasor. Like really.?? I guess some folks gotta trash something while we all wait for the trailer reveal sooner or later.

 

I was gonna go fans toys but they seem too hard to get. You gotta be on the ball with preorders, I'm happy with my xtb, although the dx9 doesn't look to bad either...

 

Well I know they are in a different league, I just meant I'm ready for a MP Menasor. The CW Menasor is what it is, I bought it, and the upgrade kit helps if tremendously but I'm getting off track. I just really want xtb to "show me the trailer".

As far as people getting fed up and saying they won't but xtb amore due to "reasons". The way I look at it, I love xtb, if they need the time to keep at it to make it better, fine. I don't need updates all the time, sure once in a while would be nice. I'm the type though that will keep buying their figures and not give up on them. Idk there is just something about xtb that clicks with me, I'll play the waiting game and it will eventually pay off.
