This thread will be discussing what the series after siege could possibly be about or latest news or clips for it. Just to be clear I’m talking about the next series that has nothing to do with the wfc trilogy.
Well obviously we need something to be im place of cyberverse and Rba so preferably something For those demographic'snext year.
I sincerely think it's possible that Cyberverse will live on in the sense that the next kids show outta EOne might actually be a straight up sequel.
That’s apart of the wfc trilogy I’m talking about the next main series like Cyberverse, prime, and animated
Ah. Well, the title says Siege, not WFC... There's really no way to know what's next. Maybe a cartoon that expands on the next movie. Hopefully something original. I doubt it'll be another trilogy though. I get the feeling "toyline trilogies" were Warden's idea.
I wouldn't mind something in 2D with simple designs like Animated. Considering what the more recent installments have done to the franchise, I doubt this will happen. That said, I am satisfied that the cartoon and main toy line are one and the same. Feels more coherent.
I hope this series does well and hasbro considers doing those straight to DVD animated movies for older fans like how DC does
I've said this before and I'll say this again... I just want a good show without Optimus and Megatron. Maybe have Rodimus and Shockwave as leaders and give rarer and underused characters a chance.
A sequel with new designs and characters would be nice. I wouldnt mind seeing the transformers interact with other aliens and robots along the lines of G1 season 3.
Seeing how Hasbro is updating old characters and concepts, I wouldn't be surprised if G2 or Beast Wars was next.
Hell they could do a 2D animated Wreckers movie with them going behind enemy lines (Kaon) to plant a EMP bomb onboard the Nemesis before the Decepticons can take off and intercept the Autobots aboard the Ark.
I just really, really hope it's a fresh and creative new take on Transformers. I was really hoping Siege would be surprisingly good. But I didn't care for it. At this point I'm getting sick of "modern G1" shows (and comics and toys and everything else). The other day it crossed my mind that I haven't actually liked a Transformers show since RID2015...which was the last fresh take on Transformers. And I even think that show has big flaws...but it's the last Transformers show I can give a solid thumbs up to (at least the first season). I hope the Netflix series marks the end of this homogenized G1/Evergreen/Generations phase of the brand. That stuff certainly has it's place, but I need some new takes on this brand. I need some artists with distinct visions.
With all the speculation surrounding a revival of Beast Wars lately (what with KINGDOM and the rumored movie adaptation), I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro is considering to go all in on the Beast Era once the WFC Trilogy wraps up. The original cartoon is nearly 25 years old, after all. If there were anytime to invest in the Beast Era, it'd be now.
I'm a bit greedy I want more of everything. Original creative spins, G1 style repeats, light hearted cyberverse s2 and s3 style shows, gloomy seige style shows. Movies, TV, books, comics and toys.
I'd suggest Ultra Magnus as the leader and Hot Rod as his student. It takes place towards the end of the 4 million years that Team Prime and Team Megatron were in stasis on Earth. It's Magnus just keeping the resistance alive and Shockwave hunting them out with scary logic. The show ends when they get transmissions from their comrades are still alive on Earth.
