What's the Kup rumor?

He and Hot Rod are allegedly SS'86 Voyagers w/ accessories.

I think the Hot Rod leak said fishing rod and saw among other things.

Yes, but the characters we got in CW and TR were essential G1 characters everyone was thrilledtto finally see in the generations line mixed with over or undersized versions of Optimus, Seekers etc that shelfwarmed all over the place.
I don't mind if BW doesn't get its own line, but there are still a lot of core characters like Chop Shop, Landfill, Overdrive, Needlenose, Quake etc that a lot of people hope to see along Tigatron, Blackarachnia, Cheetor etc.

 

My hope is that we see Season one characters and then later on most of the characters that got an upgrade recieve a larger figure. Sell Season one deluxes of Tarantulas and Cheetor then make their transmetal voyager class. It's just an excuse for me to get my transmetals closer to MP scale, sure but it's also a good way to make more money probably.

 

I think that Mutant Rodimus might be accurate. All the “leak” says is Rodimus with trailer. Not G1 Rodimus Space Winnebago. It looks to me like people in these threads have mixed up Voyager Hot Rod from Ss86 with Rodimus Prime with Trailer.

 

Mutant Rodimus is pretty tantalizing. I mean I think it must be Rodimus with a beast mode. What could he turn into?

 

That's one thing that leads me to think the list is a bit off. I mean, Hasbro have made the decision to put TF:TM figures into SS to make room in WFC for Beast Wars characters, but some TF:TM characters will still be in WFC. They then waste a Leader class spot on a 'Mutant' Rodimus that no one has asked for. Straight-up Space Winnebago, yes. But some weird mutant animal Rodimus? I don't recall anyone asking for that. It just seems a bit odd.

Well, if it's true, it must be story-related. We got guys traveling around in time, maybe they alter history and it "mutates" Rodimus into a Maximal.

And maybe he's not the only one. Look at the other G1 guys in Wave 1: Inferno, who already shares his name with a Beast Wars character, and Tracks. Now honestly, is there a more "beastly" sounding G1 name than Tracks?

That's the first image I found after searching for magenta animals haha. I think big cat or monkey of some kind cause of the Prime/Primal thing and how he might be similar to Cheetor, those would be a bit boring though. A Phoenix would be neat, I suppose his flame decals gave me that idea

 

A winnebago is basically a house. He carries his house around on his back...

 

A Ravage redeco from Cheetor or Tigatron seems highly probable IMO

I always feel sorry for people who actually DO have an Uncle who works for Nintendo, nobody would ever believe them!  

There is a certain logic to having new characters in the cheap seats compared to taking a risk in the bigger price points. That said I'd love for them to be more adventuresome at times.

Also re the theories of Rodimus, I believe on TFWiki it mentioned a few fictions where he undergoes the Beast upgrade? Could be some narrative inspiration there.
Unrelated to that, with the idea of some kind of phoenix beast mode bits or whatnot... one way I could see them doing it to distinguish from the movie one is if he has a drastically different bot mode design. What if he's based more on the IDW More Than Meets the Eye Rodimus? I mean he does have the head crest flames/feathery looking things on his head.

Another thought re the G1 bots in Kingdom, what if they take some inspiration from Prime Beast Hunters? Or more accurately what if that's how they might look with Fossilizer armour? So vehicles with beast bits bolted on etc?

 

I really hope so! Mutant Leader Rodimus? What is he going to look like? Rocksteady and Beebop from TMNT?
Just give me a damn Voyager Rodimus Prime With Trailer Hasbro like you did with Earthrise Optimus Prime and you will make many people happy!

I do hope Rampage and Depth Charge will be in this toyline. I really loved their rivalry.

 

Count me in as well up for a "Divisive" Rodders with a Phoenix mode...

...totally no personal bias at work at all!

I like a phoenix. But maybe we should be thinking more like a budget-conscious Hasbro designer. Who could a beast-mode Rodimus be easily retooled into...?
