I could be wrong but this might be some next level stuff from Takara, as I think the wings we see from the front, are actually the underside of the wings. From the back I think I see ports where null rays and missles can be plugged into, on a piece that folds over 180 in both modes.

 

That blue thing on his shins, it's now a less pronounced part now unlike the elevated part in MP11.

I hate his side profile, but the actual look is aking to that of MP-39, which is to say I'm ok with it in terms of cleanliness. The actual back is pretty clean in terms of paneling.

I mean yeah you could say that. To be devil's advocate though Maketoys' Meteor, which is the figure everyone is going to be comparing this figure to, is just as close to show accurate almost to this one and it didn't have one like that. I just hope Takara isn't doing their recent trait of over complex transformation that made Bumblebee 2.0 ultimately suffer.

 

I actually don't have that big of a problem with that one as much because it's trying to get a female figure from it which is always a challenge. It's just I've seen other figures of seekers that are close to this but not a backpack like that.

 

Here is the thing that you and most other people do not understand. TT is being quite reasonable with their complex transformations, whether they are efficient or not. MP-45 was bad design, but that does not mean an MP Bumblee should not have a complex transfornation, just look at every MP Cliffjumper. We are going to need complex transformations, the real problem is knowing how to effectively design it.

 

I was perfectly content with mp-11 until they showed these pictures. Damnit. That's 3 more MPs I need now. I'm keeping my coneheads though!

 

I'm not saying that complex ones are bad because some just need them, like Meg's will always have a complex one. The thing is is that Takara is just not executing them elegantly, a company that does complex transformations greatly is Fanstoys, showing that they can be done.
