Wow. I thought for sure he was going to break it. Especially when he starts smashing the whole roof and top of the truck mode down on to the body. You just have to.... SNAP! Not sure I’m looking forward to transforming this guy. Not a fan of the hermit crab shell backpack.

Robot mode looks good. Truck mode... not so much.

you think they are deliberately under producing figures in order to stick it to people who “might” buy their product? You feel they are using operant conditioning to train the consumer base to order their products blind?

That's the cutest fucking thing i've ever seen in my entire life

All seriousness, though. The way Brawn was treated by those kielbasa fingers is basically the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I'm fucking done with reviewers, period. I'll be carving out my entirely own path once I join their ranks, for better or worse. Kinda feels dirty to say that last part now, haha.

LOL I hadn't watched BSF for so long because I really despise his reviews. I gave a quick look to Brawn and my opinion still hold true. Besides his viewpoints that I rarely agree with, his gigantic meathooks manhandling the figures is cringeworthy enough to watch elsewhere.

Y’know what I feel sorry for the most when he does his reviews? His copy of Tigertracks. That poor thing REALLY takes a beating during his reviews.

That's exactly what they're doing. for their runs to sell out that fast, they're not meeting market demand, not even close. But what has happened is that we've all been trained to pre-order any of their products that we might want with the understanding that 1) if we dont preorder l, we're GONNA pay a LARGE markup, and 2) even if we don't want it, we can sell it for a profit later. Which I guess it's cool. But I'd rather just be able to only get the figures I really want.

A lot of collectibles companies do it that way. Many times you can't get NECA, Mezco, Hot Toys, or other brands anywhere except ebay for scalper prices. It's not shady, it's just how a lot of the toy industry works. It hasn't been "make enough for everyone" for a loooooooooooooooong time.

Except FansToys clearly changed their approach about five releases ago. THey've always been popular but they suddenly got impossible to buy.

Did they change, or did buyer behavior change?

A lot of things changed in the world five releases ago. Corona happened, some people were receiving MORE income staying home than before, etc, but sure it's all FT's fault.

We have this exact debate, with the exact same points on both sides of the debate, in every single FT thread. A few non-FT ones, too.

This is interesting. Do we have any evidence FT changed their approach?

Bobby has never reviewed a figure that he doesn't care how rough he is with it. I call it the ham-fisted approach and Bobby is truly the master.

Of course not, it's another one of those "I can't get in" therefore producer is sh** argument.

The sad thing is, he's someone i'd imagine cracking open a metaphorical cold one with. While I hold the utmost respect for him as a person, I can't say the same for his online presence. Legit dropping both Nerd Rage Radio and SCU (his two podcasts) because of it as well. It legit feels like he's losing steam. Besides his and my opinions clashing in terms of collecting avenues, as in how Bobby is whole hog with display presence, I also hold playability into regard, i'm done with him after Brawn. It was just a half-assed job, and I personally can't accept a half-assed job.

I'll say it again, also to anyone else even thinking of doing reviews, please for the love of God take this advice. Don't try to compete. I feel that people will accept a more polished job than a rushed one, which is my personal philisophy with reviews. I know for a fact that I enjoy the latter more than the former. I can't give two shits about competing because i'm busy giving those two shits about making sure I do what I do as well as I can.
