I'm guessing that Baby Sonic was relatively the same originally, apart from some eye adjustments in accordance to the redesign.
What is most interesting of that clip, is that early design. (With the low res textures.) For it seems to have a lot of traits of the final, redesign. It appears to look more like the redesign, even as a baby, then the old design. It does share a little similarities like teeth with the 'original' design, but the overall thing looks a lot like the final design. It is starting to look like the studio really pushed for that original design, even if the animators/director didn't want it.
Spoiler: Longclaw's fate A scrapped scene where Longclaw died of old age was meant to be included, but was scrapped. They probably thought it would be better if her death was off screen.
Apparently the Chaos Emeralds were planned for the movie. Why Sonic The Hedgehog’s Movie Doesn’t Include Super Sonic And The Chaos Emeralds Spoiler: Eggman's original plan. Eggman would of found a Chaos Emerald in the movie, from Donut Lord's house. And they thought about including Super Sonic. This was scrapped because they thought it'd be better to include these elements in a future film. The chaos emerald was replaced with Sonic's quill. I would of preferred the chaos emerald though, no Super Sonic.
Gonna agree with this decision. If they did then the conflict of Sonic's power would be meaningless. And on that subject Spoiler Glad they didn't end the movie with Eggman finding a Chaos Emerald. The Tails cameo was enough of a sequel hook.
Thanks to YouTube I saw the end sequence with Tails. They did a really good job with him. I am thinking Tails was talking to himself wen his gadget picked up Sonic’s signal.
I've only just gotten around to watching this as an Easter movie evening treat for my kids. I was going to try and be clever and tell you all that the move was dumb and everything but that I loved every second of it. But here's the thing, it's not dumb and I loved every second of it. My kids were chuckling through out the whole thing, and there were so many clever nods to the video games and how they were used to advance the story, that there's no way I could ever call this movie dumb. The acting performances were great and the set pieces were fantastic - they really felt like we were watching a boss sequence from the original Sonic. And boy am I glad that they went back and re-did Sonic himself. The movie somehow managed to push all the right buttons for the younger generations, whilst at the same time, pulling enough levers for those of us who were old enough to remember when the original Sonic came out. It's a really great piece of work, and my kids enjoyed it so much, that they're asking if there's going to be a sequel. I think that's probably a real measure of how good the movie was - that it's left my kids, who are not die hard Sonic fans like myself, asking for more.
It is official, Sonic Sequel is now commencing development ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Sequel in the Works – Variety Seem we're gonna get more of Tails Believe in him people.
Marvel Studios Had the Top Grossing Superhero Movies Every Year... Until Sonic the Hedgehog Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog ended up grossing over $308 million worldwide largely due in part to its early release in the year. As fans have come to find out, that leaves Sonic as the biggest money-maker in the genre for the year, surpassing comic book flicks like Birds of Prey ($201.8M) and The New Mutants (43.7M) on its way to a massive box office haul (though it's worth noting that MCU films were absent in this year).
