Didn’t see a review for this, and I picked him up last night at Target, so here we go! I’ll be real: I wasn’t planning on getting this guy. I didn’t get Apeface, and I figured the two were meant to be a duo, but I’m glad I did, because he rocks. He’s probably the best Transformer of 2020, second only to, like, ER Grapple for me. We start in... ...dino/kaiju/wingless dragon mode! I like this mode a lot, it’s a really silly mode that we don’t see too much of these days because of a heavier focus on vehicular modes. Only complaint I have is that the tail, seen here, is a little too long for my liking, similar to POTP Grimlock; I’d prefer it to be maybe a quarter shorter, but that’s a nitpick. From there, we go to spaceship mode! Once again, I’m a fan of this mode! Really slick design that’s super-swooshable. Landing gear is a bit hard to get out, but it’s doable. His Headmaster can sit inside the (double-doored) cockpit! Everyone say, “hi, Krunk!” On to robot mode, where Snapdragon’s just looking mighty fresh! I adore this robot mode and everything about it. I like his twin guns and the Cinderella Castle-like spires on his shoulders. Super-late-80s, and I like it. His lower half is very well-articulated, as this photo shows! He even has a waist swivel, which has been a really nice treat on a lot of figures that look like they don’t have them at first glance. Overall, like I said at the top, I really enjoy this guy. If you see him, even if you don’t have Apeface, pick him up! I hope you feel the same way about him as I do! “Freeze, pilgrim.”
Thanks for the review, convoy84! He looks so much better than Apeface's soapy plastic. The jet mode is beautiful. My only complaint is the beast head lower jaw looks weird since its made of the legs of the Headmaster.
Great review! Does the nose landing gear wheel actually turn? And I don't suppose there is any rear landing gear?
You said the lower half is nicely articulated, so what's wrong with the upper half? Looks like the elbows are pretty limited. Oh, great review, BTW!
I just found him at a walmart. Not bad. Mine came with two left canopy pieces for his jet mode though. Goddamn QC. :/
No, it does not, and no, there is not! You’d be right! See his left elbow in that Van Damme-y photo? That’s about as far as they go.
Thanks for the review. I can’t wait until Target sends mine. Nice to see that the details in the cockpit are painted. More TFs should do that.

Looks like a very decent snapdragon to me! I always wanted one as my childhood bestie had one and he wasn’t half the tf fan I was! I’ll show him... 33 years later....
I hope Walmart sends me mine in September. He looks great! I’ll support pretty much anything headmastery, especially when he has so many points of articulation and great looking modes.
Headmasters, yes. We still need two Autobot Targetmasters, Pointblank & Sureshot, plus if we’re being technical the Throttlebots are in Rebirth and we only really have Chase from them so far. John Warden did confirm at SDCC or NYCC last year though that the ‘two wheel per foot’ engineering they were going to use for the upcoming Runabout/Runamuck would be used for the Throttlebots too, so at least there’s plans for them (maybe in the new Kingdom Core class?)
He looks cool. Each mode seems nice, none of the major compromises that are typical for triple-changers. Apeface was probably my least favorite figure from Siege so I’m glad Snapdragon turned out better.
Got this guy today, and have to agree - a really good, solid, competent Transformer. There's nothing particularly wrong with any of the 3 modes, which is amazing for a Triple, with only 3 little niggles for me: The aircraft fins hinder the botmode arms a little The back end of the aircraft is a little odd and gappy The 'dragon' mode is very broad in the middle, and the headmaster 'jaw' connection is a bit of a pain But again, small niggles. This guy absolutely nails the character's overall look and makes me really wish they'd re-release a 'clean' version of Apeface.
Maybe will get Apeface in the Netflix line, with better white plastic and no battle damage, and maybe fix the issue with that 5mm port
