So aside from arguably the three most iconic characters in G1, the whole line is G1 accurate?

Also, I think it just kinda comes down to using logic and looking at things case-by-case: Blaster coming with his cassettes is something no one would have an issue with. Blaster, much like Soundwave, is dominated by the cassette gimmick and always feels incomplete without them, yet unlike Soundwave doesn't come with at least one to utilize that. Even including Steeljaw would've at least been better than nothing, regardless of how it was back in the original G1 line.

Starscream could've easily come without Megatron, but they knew it'd be more popular if he had that previously limited accessory. They even gave Optimus his two guns so fans could use whichever style they preferred. The deviations have been improvements, made to appeal to collectors in ways that make sense. Blaster could've easily come with a cassette and no one would consider it a compromise.

We need a another reissue of Dile and Zaur in the style of there original colors and on a card. That can be the second set for Hasbro Pulse.I know countless others have missed the Studio Series exclusives but having them in the same way as Graphy and Nosie would be great.I personally missed the Studio Series because I wasn't interested in the funky colors that they had.

The majority (80%) of it is, in so far as component.

It's not an issue other than it's not an expectation.
The whole point of the line is retro, though. A cassette would be considered a "bonus" but it would be an added feature. We did not expect TFC Starscream. We did not expect a trailer-less Optimus. Neither should have trained us to expect a bonus cassette.

My assumption is that the fists that hold Megatron and Megatron himself are gang molded. So, either you use the TFC mold or you use the more accurate Encore/Platinum molds. Hasbro decided to go with TFC.

That was a circumstance in which Hasbro basically abandoned the China factory mold and created a brand new mold in Vietnam, hence the lack of trailer. To make up for it, they molded his two variant guns as well. Those may be gang molded, meaning future Optimus Primes from Vietnam may always come with two guns from now on.

Again. It would be a bonus. But bonuses are not what we should be expecting as 80% of the line doesn't feature a bonus. The whole point of the line is nostalgia and replicating the original figures and packaging when possible. Bonuses are nice incentives but expecting one is reaching.

Anyhow, regardless of the expectations, I think the honest MONEY reason for not coming with a cassette is because the four Autobot cassettes were planned as being sold alongside Blaster at the $20 pricepoint to replace the Decepticons on the tabs. But Walmart must have bailed on shelf-tab Vintage releases and opted for other Transformers to fill those slots. This is a shame...because the Autobot cassettes would probably be in even higher demand than the Decepticons since Blaster comes with no cassettes.

I'd like a second chance on Graphy and Noise as well, since Hasbro dumped half their order into the ocean on accident and didn't fulfill all their orders the last time.

Each Studio Series set featured one of them in regular colors and the other as a "funky colors" Decepticon version. Between both sets, you'd get both in their normal colors. Just saying. :)

That is true I forgot about that but still I would like to see a Dile and Saur in there own pack like Graphy and Noise. They should re-release Graphy and Noise them as well for those who missed out the first time.

I still have both of those gold bumblebees in the box unopened in my closet. I just removed the cassettes. If I bought a Dile and Zaur on a card it would be just to be a completionest and get the Frenzy (or Rumble lol) with the red dot on his forehead. But what I would really rather have is clear translucent Graphy and Nosie as their evil twins with Deception logos to go with the other two. I really dont care about the card because its going to get ripped open anyways. I wish Hasbro had taken that into consideration and given us the Japanese mini boxes with American writing instead. Screw the cards.

The issue with Blaster having a cassette this time around is that it would've raised the price $2 and priced out everybody waiting for it to drop to $15.

    Thank you!
I just wanted to make sure this wasn't the Twilight Zone...

Because at first, one person simply said, "Ha ha. No cassettes included."
Then another respond with "It never came with cassettes."
    But!
Was G1 Blaster ever issued with some of his cassettes at some point in time? YES! That was the only point I was making.

So now, I'm butting into "conversations" and somehow taking things out of context, when there were only two damn sentences between the two of them to begin with. And now he's been gas lighting ever since...

Anyway, I hope whoever's looking forward to this version of Blaster has no trouble getting it, and that his G1 Cassettes do follow soon after.

So we're getting yet another Blaster reissue? That's lame especially knowing Skywarp might have also had the bookbox megatron and fists. I would have considered this if they'd given it the double tape deck but they didn't even do that. I'll stick with eventually hunting down either the SDCC or platinum releases.

I'm not really in the market for a Blaster since I got the SDCC set from a few years ago with three of his tapes, but just seeing him in a G1 box is tempted, especially at $30.

If you are in Canada - it still is for sale on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Hasbro-E4289-...rds=transformers+frenzy&qid=1595769807&sr=8-2

Depending upon your price scale, I have a couple extra I picked up for friends & family that were just returned to me via covid cleaning. I could get them out to people pretty reasonably. Drop me a PM as I have 2 sealed on the East Coast US.

I have mine on pre-order at Wal-Mart website though i really don't need it cause i have 2 already. I have an orginal and reissue boxed from many years ago but i just want to keep reissue alive and have 1 to goof around with. So I'm gonna keep my order and display it with my other g1 issues i have. I'll admit it WOULD have been nice to have the tapes but i guess you can't win them all for $30 bones.

Me, too. Don't need Canadian reissues. They look fairly nice, but that multilingual 21st Century packaging ruins the authenticity of replica releases.

Yeah, I don't know if I believe their story, or which ones came on an uncut card + Frenzy, but that's the set I ordered on Pulse. They botched it. Then I paid too much to get them and saw that the backs of the cards were mismatched to the fronts.

    Hasbro....

Have 4 on order myself. It's walmart so I'm hoping the order system picks me as a winner on this one vs. being a lucky winner of nothing. Then the real gamble begins on whether I get 4 singles shipped to me, do I get a casepack shipped in a box as these are probably 4/box like Soundwave was, do I receive nothing but a very delayed order cancellation or do I receive crushed ones for any fulfilled? Walmart will have to surprise me but even if I got damages, can always just return in store when they hit the shelf & problem solved.

Funny story - in that thread for the 3 pack - before it was even shipped - it was pointed out that the mismatch backing existed. So, if they had cared to do so because they do monitor these boards, Hasbro could have made a production swap & then sold both because they had to know the marketplace for this item would 100% buy both packages. They could have even gone so far as to make the error packaging con specific variant & correct packaging their regular market release. A missed opportunity by Hasbro...

Glad you could get them :D  Based on my collecting style, I'm in for triples of anything I get if they are combiners as i display in single & combined mode + unopened. Another board member here helped me to obtain some from the canada amazon for friends that have since done a Covid purge for financial reasons. I hope they make more available through amazon because I was able to get some as damaged packaging at a lower price. Perfect for me displaying them opened & they were 100% undamaged. Keep an eye on amazon - you could find sweet deals.

I was hoping they would have done Rumble & Dile + Saur for this years SDCC - its possible that might have been in the works preCovid & we may see it one day. Afterall, they have two Decepticons from Bumblebee they could do Retro Packages with + a heroine figure they could make part of the studio series officially...

They probably didn’t want to spend money on a separate print run of an English only packaging.

For me this would be quite authentic because I still live in Canada, but like all previous multiple reissues, I expect the mold to have noticeable wear on them. That and I still have the Takara reissue from about 20 years ago, I think I can safely skip this one
