I'm hoping someone here landed that lot and post here.

Maybe if I ask nicely they'll sell me them for a song.

Should this Valaverse be considered more along akin to conventional 3P or more akin to something like Fansproject Glacialord?

I'd say Glacialord in a world where Hasbro makes no Transformers at all.

Its a different scale too. Hasbro gave up on Gijoe for years. They are sort of remembering them lightly now.

Yeah, I won a couple things too, and needless to say, it was a disaster.

Hey! Just to clarify. Action Force is a trademarked name of a toy line produced by Valaverse. Just as there are numerous robot toy lines, Kaiju lines, superhero lines, this is an original IP based on ‘fantasy’ military fighting forces. Their most recent announcement before today that caused quite the stir was Valaverse’s partnership with Sgt. Slaughter. That’s right... The Sarge is part of Action Force now!

So no, nothing has changed with BotCon and the way it approaches unlicensed ‘3rd party’ products. Partnerships will only be with brands that are considered original IP’s and/or are protected by trademark. That has always been and will continue to be very important to BotCon.

The Wasp Raider has gotten some great attention today but as was said earlier, Robot fans will be getting their fix for sure!

Any indication when the next reveal will be? This one came outta nowhere to me (though admittedly I haven't been following Botcon very closely)

This is a stand alone exclusive. There will be other lines that BotCon looks to partner with though.

Sgt Slaughter was in the news when it was revealed he never actually served in the military and was just part of his wrestling gimmick. It's not surprising, but still.

Yup. I agree, as a UK Fan this is super confusing, and for anyone unaware, here's a video to explain

Ugh, really? Man, I was really looking forward to these exclusives, but I was under the impression they would be ACTUAL Transformers redecos/remolds, just with an unofficial convention, like with what happened with BotCon 1996-2002. If we're not getting any actual Transformers toys, count me out.

And keep in mind, I'm not blaming the BotCon organizers or anything like that. If Hasbro won't let 'em do it, Hasbro won't let 'em do it. But my interests are what they are, and no TF redecoes/remolds= no sale.

Knock-off G.I. Joe? This was a kickstarter by a former Hasbro designer, it’s a do-over of the localised European version of G.I. Joe.

So, hold on, is Botcon actually back? I've heard nothing about this.

A 3P GI Joe company producing a Transformers-inspired remold. To be sold at an official TF convention.

    Nice one :D
