Let's hope we hear (and maybe even see) a little more of the new Beast Wars series from IDW's panel at Comic Con @ Home.

I'm wondering how many characters will be used.

I want the comic to be different from the show, not the same.

Well, the important part is that we got that poster. Now if only we could get a high-res version instead of trying to have people use a supercomputer to analyze blobs on a screen.

What means "push (it) in new directions"? Does that mean more absurd but fun crossovers, or some other more sinister shit?

So "hold onto your butts?" Just keep GI Joe and ROM et al the fuck out of my mainline comic and they can do whatever they want, I guess. I don't want to read marketing propaganda for other properties, but they can get as edge lord as they want. New stories are new stories, take some chances and all that, I'm in.

I'm convinced by this statement it's just gonna be the same stuff I've seen before in official comics or fan-made ones.
*"What if Optimus was evil?" Bitch, that's Shattered Glass.
*"What if G1 crossed over with another continuity?" Assuming you kept the base story of that continuity the same probably nothing to write home about.
*"What if the Cons won the war?" Probably just makes the Autobots more underdogs.
*"What if they crossed paths with GI Joe?" We've seen that since the 80s. To say thats old is like saying Dinosaurs are big. Massive understatement.

Unless they pull a Wreckers or MTMTE I honestly dont care what they do because it's just going to be the same general public, mass produced, entry level snore fest that every teenage fanfic writer can come up with.

They didn't mention anything about BW :( , I'm beginning to suspect the credibility of that Kingdom promotional poster. o_O

We know Kingdom is real because Hasbro and Netflix have confirmed it.

IDW not saying anything about their upcoming Beast Wars series has no real relation to Kingdom, just like their new comic book universe has no real relation to Siege and Earthrise. It may simply be a bit too early to talk about it in any real detail. We're still five months away from 2021.

I would have wanted to see some toy tease for Kingdom at least.

You weren't going to get that from an IDW panel.

How would that work, exactly? We already have that giant Unicron toy coming next year(?), would they reissue it for a UT revival? Without Unicron, you can't really have a Unicron Trilogy.

I think he (and others) just want updates to some Armada characters with mini-con partners. The latter wouldnt need the same gimmick of old but just reuse micromasters.
