Made a Target run looking for Slitherfang or Snapdragon. Instead I found these guy or instant clearance.

 

Is there a separate thread for upgrades kits, fillers and so on? I thought there was but I'm not having any luck finding it now.

Also, if you have a heat gun (or a hair dryer that gets very hot), you can fix the warps in some of those Jetfire-type effects.

Not in general, but in the 3rd party forum area, there's dedicated threads for various upgrade kits / makers.

Sometimes we talk about specific ones here too.

Niiiice!!! What stands did you get? After seeing so many rad pics, now I want to get some stands too!

 

There really is a massive upgrade in quality, design, hand-feel and build from Fort Max to Skorponok.
I know there's rumors of redoing Metroplex, (and subsequently Fort Max) but I'm kinda hoping its true.
Though I'd take other characters that haven't been done already, first.

 

The purple on Zarak is hard to match with the old TR purples used, let alone the beige.

Blaster is from Scrapface and matches color well.

 

NECA Dynamic Action Figure Display Stand. Grabed a couple from Target. 10$ ea but has thicker arms and sturdy to hold the weight better than the overseas stands I got from Amazon for 3$ a pop.

also got Doubledealer from Target...any reason why his abs can be removable in robot mode? Is it just a nod to the old Powermaster function? His spotlight/missile pod piece is an odd thing too...

 

There's a removable engine block piece. Yeah, that's a nod to the Powermaster toy. You can place the block on the shield peg of Knok and Skar.

That appears to match pretty well.
