Because the movie Jetfire version is the more well-known one not just in the Transformers fandom but more well-known to the general public because RotF was watched by a lot of people.

 

I like these for the most part. Jazz and Prime look almost perfect for their designs. Megatron, Rodimus, and Vic Saber are all good with a few stylistic choices that arent spot on but still cool. The seeeker sillhouette looks good (and since its a kit it can literallt be any seeker) especially since it looks like Thundercracker most. The Fallen's flames really don't bother me but the Fallen really isnt much of a character I even notice. I'm not really a Windblade fan at all but I cant understand people trying to remove the character from the lineup seeing as there really are a lot of Windblade fans out there. Hound would definitly be cool to see as one of these kits but I doubt they will do it.

 

I dont like generalizations.

 

I'd honestly prefer a kit of ROTF Jetfire over an Optimus with power armour.

Damn these guys look good. I was only ever planning on getting K3 Star Saber but then that Optimus got to me. Then the black Star Saber was some icing on a cake i didn't want. lol. Jazz is one of my favorites so i'm getting him with no issues. Trying not to go whole hog at $350-400 each. ooof.

Flames toys are after my wallet. Jazz....nuff said. Rodimus is magnifique. The Gundam-esque style really works well with his IDW design.

 

A Rodimus without arm pipes just isn't Rodimus.

Unless it's Energon Rodimus.

 

That IDW Rodimus design does have the arm pipes, though, so they're probably just absent from that prototype.

Given the extra accesorization that FT tend to give these guys, I wonder if they'll also give him his Animated-inspired bow, like MMC gave him. That should actually look pretty sweet, since they'd probably actually give him a bowstring effect and arrows.

 

A bow, a saw, goggle eyes, a blaster like his live action movie, G1 blasters... There are a lot of possibilities with him.  

 

Oooh, ooooh yes pls. Time gun would be a hilariously cool addition.

 

Rodimus is an easy skip.

End of July is approaching so I expect the Tarn reissue to be around the corner.

 

I do kinda wish we'd get a model kit Hot Rod in the slightly-more-dynamic style of the G1 Optimus.

Rodimus redesigns are usually cool but I really like the retro cleanliness of his G1 cartoon model.

 

Rodimus might be my first Kuro Kari Kuri purchase. As long as they include the arm canons. Any chance we might see a Kuro Kari Kuri Galvatron?

The original toy design sketch had arm pipes. They probably just didn't include them in this prototype photo.
