So what's the deal on a regular MMPR Black Ranger. Got blue and green on the way...if anyone needs a puddy happy to sell him, but I don't want the WalGs version, so ready for a true retail.
I particularly liked the alternative sequence where the firetruck uses its arms to reach out and grab the walking legs and lowers itself to the connection point...not sure why they never used that sequence again...
I totally get where you're coming from. I guess for me the Miniplas are completely different things from DX toys so I'm able to enjoy them a lot. I think they make killer deskbots. Maybe someday Hasbro would ape some of the Minipla designs and make DX-sized combining posable Megazords. That might me a nice evolution from the Sentai DX toys.
I stopped watching Power Rangers after the first movie, but nostalgia is hitting me hard with this Lightning Collection. I almost got the Red Ranger yesterday, but there was some paint defects. Then later that night I saw the Ranger Slayer and although I know nothing about the character other than it's a brainwashed Kimberly, I still think it looks really cool. Unfortunately they completely missed the mark on the grey paint on the helmet, so I didn't get that either. I really don't need any Power Rangers since it was so short lived in my watching and I really don't look back on it fondly as it was so corny, but damn that nostalgia. The Red Ranger was always my favorite.
Man your pics have me really wanting that Psycho 5 pack to get here already @Lazerwave. I just sold my original Red and Blue, so now Green is the only one I have and I just want more. Even 3 uses in I'm not tired of it, he's awesome. I do kind of wish there was a means of holstering his dagger at his hip, but that's a real minor quibble. I would happily welcome any colors they make. Please, Boom, make a Gold or Purple Pyscho for us lol.
Both transformations were stunning. I wish Sentai mecha could go back to this. The detail of the props, the sound effects, the (admittedly PR exclusive) rocking music, it's perfect.
Hasbro Fans Expo 2020 announced in Hong Kong 7/29-8/2, Power Rangers was hashtagged so hopefully whatever was planned to be revealed at SDCC is revealed next week
Yeah, hopefully, we get Psycho Silver announced soon... and before anyone comes in with 'whell achually' yes I'm aware it was Zahn in disguise. Doesn't make me want one any less.
Whenever I see such a protracted combination sequence that ostensibly plays in real time, I can't help but be reminded of this scene in The Big O:
sadly cgi seems to have taken over the bulk of footage nowadays...there can be a happy medium though where the cgi enhances the minature work...there's some great stuff being done in the new Ultraman Z series that I wish Sentai would take a cue from...
Officially started collecting these figures for my kids. They are having fun with them! I’ve got a few more boxes away to give them periodically as gifts. No idea what some of the are but one is another Red Ranger with a Beast Gun that matches a Nerf that they have so I’m guessing it’s some Beast Morpher or whatever series. Also have Goldar, original Blue Ranger and ordered a pack of Putty’s. Other ones they want are the original Pink, evil or whatever pink and another Red...I think it’s a time traveling one or some shit.
Yeah, I was already planning on getting this set, but if I wasn't your pics would have sold me on it.
