You can find plenty of good condition G1 Vintage Blasters for $30 if you don't care about the gun.

I wonder what the plastic quality is on this reissue. The others had plastic that is far below the quality of the originals.

Yup, Jumped on the preorder immediately on this one, considering the list price of Astrotrain said $49 (even though I don't think they ever actually sold it that high), and Soundwave being $50. Those two may have diecast, but blaster in a G1 box makes me happy at $30. Just got a gun for a vintage one last week. Should probably consider offloading the SDCC one and the 2-pack with Perceptor at this point, but each packaging has its charm.

I agree. I had G1 Blaster and loved him. So I’ll definitely be buying this and the price is so much better than Optimus Prime and Soundwave reissues

I hope we get more G1 reissues after Blaster and beside that, where are the cassettes packs that go with Blaster?
I already know that Blaster didn't came with cassettes with him in the box like Soundwave but I am talking about the cassettes being on there cards like the Decepticon cassettes. Also if this the case we need a Soundblaster and Twincast for Hasbro Pulse excusives.

Hopefully proof of Blaster\'s popularity will lead to a decent Generations figure.

Some day this mold will finally degrade and they'll have to pick something else to reissue.

Does Blaster have the working radio function?
    Because that would be awesome.

They actually did. I found one at a store right before the new year and paid $49. A few weeks later, I found it for the lower $39 price at another store, bought it there, and returned the previous one.

I think the first reissue had it too. Or maybe one of the japanese ones.

Damn, even though the nostalgia is generally putting me all-in on these, I don't think I could have done it at that price. Can't remember if I got my original Hot Rod for full retail but my first one was backward. Glad I found one later at a larger discount and gave the backward one to my nephew for Christmas. Figures it was missing the hood stickers as well.

    Walmart again...sigh

The toy sections in ALL the Walmarts in my city are like war zones.

Everything is a mess. Toys are handled by 1000 hands per day and so there is ZERO chance for you to find ANY toy that has a decent box or card for MISB consideration.

So they're targeting a more adult and collector segment but all of the toys on the shelves are in bad shape.

That's if you're lucky enough to find them. Horrible distribution.

Meh...Thanks Hasbro, I'm saving money by not buying any of them.

Hey, not until I get this reissue. :D  I never owned the original or any of the Encore versions, so I put in two preorders for Blaster at Walmart. Oddly enough, I do have the G1 Encore releases of Rewind, Eject, Ramhorn, and Steeljaw. Will be nice to pair them up with their dad finally!

I’ll snag this if I can score one on clearance for $20 or less. Blaster isn’t really a “must have” for me. Hopefully they do a bruticus box set like Devastator soon.
