Sightings all over Vegas. A few of us have gotten the chance to pick him up.

Also, I know it was mentioned that Amazon has this for $42.99. Target price matched, and I got him for the same. I feel a lot better at nearer to $40 for this guy. Not a bad figure overall. Robot mode has all the articulation.

Tail/plate/thing goes right in the parts drawer. :D

Just got my Amazon shipment notification for my DD order placed on May 31st. I should be getting it on Saturday! Glad I don't have to keep checking my Target for it now.

Is there a proper DPCI for DD or is it just the leader pricepoint?

As per Target's listing details for Double Dealer:

    TCIN: 78917038
    UPC: 5010993660117
    Item Number (DPCI): 087-16-6661

    Compared to Optimus Prime:

    TCIN: 78917034
    UPC: 5010993639748
    Item Number (DPCI): 087-16-1267

But at the store, they use the assortment DPCI - 087-16-3984

Well, no sign of him in Richmond via popfindr. But of course these sites only seem to work half the time. Hmn.

My DD came in today from Amazon! Love this guy, but do be careful with the mushroom peg inside his knee joints. I popped one off mid-transformation, and had to unscrew and separate his leg to try and peg it back in (as it slides in at a weird angle).

Over-all, I'm pretty happy with him, and I can finally retire the Blitzwing recolor! And I'm really glad with how well Knok and Skar look with him, so happy I was able to get that Spy Patrol set at normal price! 20200718_173119.jpg 20200718_172625.jpg 20200718_171322.jpg 20200718_165350.jpg 20200718_164753.jpg 20200718_161430.jpg 20200718_161209.jpg 20200718_155921.jpg

I know some comparisons exist around the net (mostly in video reviews), but I thought I'd take a few comparison pics in all modes.

How many people are getting the stress marks on the leg joints that PrimevsPrime mentioned in his review? I’d like to know how common this issue is before I get this guy.

Has anyone found this outside of Target yet, like at Walmart or Best Buy?

I have been waiting for a set of comparison pictures. Thank you!
Honestly, from what I see Earthrise DD appears to be a terrible and lazy modern update to the G1 toy. I say that because it appears to simply copy the G1 toy design. The bird mode is just as atrocious as the G1 toy. The bot mode proportions are worse than the G1 toy (besides the oversized head).

The G1 toy is one the last G1 toys I can remember playing with as a child. I love it. Maybe I wil llove Earthrise DD after nostalgia hits. I expect to receive it by tomorrow.

I have transformed mine 10 or so times and do not have any stress marks.

Where in the review does he mention them? My concern about stress/cracks is around how his knee collapses for bird mode...but I wouldn't know specifically where to check.

What about the figure isn’t worth the price?

Huh. Guess that was just his copy, then. Good to know.

I might be because he forced the knees into position during transformation. I've been turning the black knee piece with one hand while sliding the thigh into position. You'll know what I mean once the figure is in hand.

My comment about the character should've covered the matter. I'm content with the Blitzwing repaint of DD. If you love the ER version then feel free to buy 10.

Sorry, I interpreted it as being that you saying that the design wasn’t worthy of the leader class price point or something.

is the removable abs-piece supposed to be their homage to the old powermaster function? That spotlight/missile box piece also seems a bit odd to me...

I do appreciate they have a tray for the cassette versions of the powermaster characters on the new one though...

    That to.
It looks like a floppy, blocky, hollow mess IMO. The bird mode is basically pointless. And Astrotrain was a Fathers Day gift (which would've been the Seekers if they were around back then) otherwise he would've been a pass to. I'm not a fan of these current Leader class designs.

But to be clear, I love Decepticons. I'm one of the main advocates in here who lobby for more updated Decepticon CHUG's. But only if I find the design of the character warranted.
