I’m getting the feeling that these figures, especially Alicon, were rushed. I don’t think they’re really finished. Arcee is a shockingly bad case of shellformer and Alicon barely transforms. Airwave seems to be doing ok though.

Figures are planned two years in advance, aren't they? I imagine it's just covid putting a delay on the wave.

I could live with arcee being a shellformer as she's quite a hard robot mode to transcribe - the fact that she's a sleek robot mode with almost 0 kibble. The part I don't like is the hollow wing bits over her shoulders. If they'd made them solid I would have been happier

It’s just strange that Smokescreen is getting released but not the other three. Are they not all produced in the same factories? Snapdragon and Doubledealer are both at retail too.

My pre-order is with Kapow, but I imagine much the same with them. I don't mind, can living with waiting for three at the expense of one, rather than the other way round.

Just a heads up guys, Doubledealer has been spotted at UK retail shelves! Smyths St Helens have him in stock now for £46.99, if he wasn’t on order from Kapow I’d have picked him up as he looks a beaut in person. Happy hunting!

I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t have a chance to check properly, but photos I have seen say he’s slightly taller than Siege Optimus/Megatron plus quite a bit wider. Mine’s coming tomorrow now, if there’s no photos up by then I’ll do you some comparisons.

He's kinda short, but feels weighty - everything below the hips is complete and utter crap though. So typical (feels not quite properly finished) that Earthrise stuff seems to suffer from.

Should help once someone makes him some leg extenders though.

my old Local DnD place (FanBoy3) in mancherter has MLP and more importantly Transformer DND figures. Packings almost the same with just the G1 grid and brand name thrown over the top.

as for the quality... meh it's ok. lots of flash etc that needs to be cleaned off.

That's a shame. I play digitally, but when I have bought physical DnD stuff, it's been because it's been made to a high quality in response to how you don't actually need ot for the game. Handbooks, spell card decks, and the like. I was hoping that miniatures would follow the same model.

Seems much easier to just pick one of a countless number of pre-existing Megatron figurines really.
Unless you actually want to paint one a silly colour like Green with purple blotches or Archforce colour.

noticed Kapow had Exhaust and GreasePit down as Instock. So I canceled my Zavvi order and went with Kapow. Ordered Exhaust and WheelJack. Why two of basically the same toy... I dunno. I dig the Lancia boys I guess and I did the same for the MP toys.

Edit: Exhaust is showing as out of stock after about an hour of me posting this. guess they only had a few that weren't pre-orders.

Forbidden Planet have stock of Doubledealer and the Wingspan & Pounce pack in stores.
Staff also told me that they had the seeker elite 2 pack in store but had currently sold out. IMG_20200729_113741607.jpg IMG_20200729_113736384.jpg

Not much in The Entertainer Warrington. Lots of Cyberverse, those Bumblebee Energon Igniters (in mid 2020!) and a couple of Siege Starscreams.
