Coming from Hong Kong, so wouldn't be here in a hurry regardless. But I couldn't get a domestic preorder, so oh well.

Need to pay Baba $3 to ship. Got a reply on eBay but no email to payment link... not sure they even have my email address!

Sent another eBay message with my email address (as a bloody picture because it won't let you put it in the body of the message :banghead: )

Hopefully @bababobo00712 sees it in time for me to pay so he can ship today...

Turning point seemed to be Willis where rather than resting on their laurels with the "meh, okay" likeness, they listened to the fans to produce a far more accurate face sculpt. It's not perfect but I still prefer it to the official one, even though it has silver paint over Takara's lighter hue.

Now you have guys like Goose and this Brawn, where you wonder how on earth TT are gonna top it.

That said, yeah, Tesla is awful. It's amazing how much they struggle with that one character where trickier characters like Galvatron and Skyfire they nail first time. Even the face of the V2 is way off in my opinion.

Agreed on Tesla v2. Is it really that hard to capture his likeness? His face is the wrong shape for starters...

I wish they'd heeded the excellent work of artistvideogame from p.20 of the FT09 Tesla thread:

But nope. Nose, eyes, mouth still wrong, imho. Perceptor is Mirage-ish not Snoke-ish. :D

    Sorry, back to Brawn!!!

Can we get a brave sole to paint the helmet a darker gray? Then I think he’d be perfect.

Finally, completed my ark roster, couldn't bring myself to buy Badcube's take on him.

As many have already said, he's great in hand. Probably the most 'premium' minibot to date in terms of overall feel in my opinion.

Articulation seems fine, appreciate they got the ankle rocker in but just wish they went a little bit further!

Honestly they aren’t at all bad in person - MP Bee is a hollow-legged flop-monster with the most ridiculous feet I’ve ever seen on any TF toy - Hunk isn’t anywhere near as bad as that monstrosity (and as you can see, I have them both to make the direct comparison).

Yes, Hunk has a lot of panels and a Turtle-toe look to his feet, but the actual silhouette is bang on, and those panels aren’t as noticeable in-hand as they are on pictures.

What truly floors me is that MP Bee was over £100 and is made of the cheapest, nastiest plastic available, with the worst engineering I’ve seen since the original MP Megatron. Hunk is solid (honestly, throw him in a sock and you could beat someone to death with him) beautifully finished and has a great transformation for almost half the price.

And then there’s THAT face on Bumblebee.

Overall I can’t see any reason to not be happy with FT’s Hunk, unless extreme articulation is your bag. I’m by no means a “FansToys fanboy” (MMC Azalea > FT Rouge) but on this occasion I’m very happy with my purchase.

The size of that Autobot symbol is perfect. Hoping I still have a dry rub decal left that matches it!

I'm loving all of these photos, even if they are making me impatient for mine...

While it's not a totally authentic, 100% accurate representation of the character it really evokes the spirit of Brawn and is my most anticipated FT figure in ages.

Thanks, I was debating throwing on a bigger one but settled for one that sat nicely centered, pleased with the look.

This figure really does put Mp45 bumblebee to shame when you think about it for something that is a fraction of the price!

Don't know about you guys, but I'm suddenly really looking forward to seeing beachcomber arrive now - I have XTB Arkose but the floppy rollcage always killed that figure for me.

Just finished with the transformation, had the same issue as Paik with the rear bottom flap not quite staying flat but won't be visible so can live with it. Overall good fun and no major "I'm gonna break/scratch something" scares, though the part I least liked was having to put force on bringing the hips to the rear side. Slightly bothers me that when you look into the windows you see the yellow squares that make up the base of his arms diagonally, but minor gripe.

Is it possible to get to the back of the headlights to pop them out? I would paint them a metallic silver and put them back in, those headlights look like such and eyesore.

Certainly looks possible, didn't pop out easily when I just tried but I imagine with a bit of force or a tool...
