Meaning the KO of the MPM? Pretty sure Shockwave is equal in size or larger than any other Megatron out there. Maybe the MPM is that big- not a big fan of that design. I transformed him into jet mode and haven't touched him since. I know he was big, but didn't remember him being that big. Maybe he is, but I doubt it.

    Look like I got a V1...
One side of hip outward is broke out of the box.
Another leg panel have a big cracked on it and later on his hip broken...

Now, I'm waiting for exchange with the V2 (buy from my local store)

So, if you want to gut this guy, make sure you are buying a V2.
Shit QC on V1 is real.

Ah, of course. I used to live in Asia, and getting toys was a lot easier then! I hope you get your new guy soon.

Funny, I just asked them that a few hours ago. Oops! I wonder how sick they're getting of that question?

The retailers would make it easier if they noted "V2" in their listings.

I just received mine! After about half an hour unscrewing, hammering, screwing, messing up, unscrewing again I finally got all the replacement parts on. The hip stability still is lacking a little but it will do for display.

What a beast this is! I love the look of it and the shelf presence of this alien looking robot. I was in Tokyo last year at Prime1 studio and this does not have the size of their statue but it does have the looks. For a fraction of the price and it moves!

Here we have him with his Masterpiece Generation 1 namesake

Even the OS Blackout looks small next to this one

I never noticed the weird thumb sticking out of his gun. Like he still needs to use it once in a while to grab stuff in his workshop...

I was aware of that thumb for awhile.

I'm surprised nobody else has noticed or much less mentioned it when they did.

The first thing I did when I found out he was a Megatron remold was check to see if he had the thumb.

SS-56 Shockwave is an extensive remold of SS-13 RotF Megatron. One of the most noticable parts they kept was the thighs, which were one of the things BMB changed during the upscale, which is how the V1 of this guy got his breakage problems.

Has anyone heard back from TFSafari as to whether they have gotten any replacement hips in yet? While mine do seem to be *basically* fixed, I would feel a lot better about having the replacement versions on him. I reached out a while back and they said they were contacting Black Mamba, but I checked in with them two weeks later and never heard back..

I tightened all the joints up on mine and did extensive surgery on the internal workings of the hips. I can’t say whether they will break in the future or not but they seem pretty solid right now. If I can’t get the replacement parts from TFSafari, I will gladly sell you my version if you want it. I could use the funds to put towards just buying myself version two.

Is the V2 of this guy worth it? Or do you think another company will come along and create their own version?
