I’m still waiting for BBTS to get their shipment.

And, I’m also a bit ambivalent about Bludgeon and Heat Death, so I’m leaning on just setting Lio Convoy in opposition to the Fallen at the moment.

Oh, I do love the way it looks.

But the volume of reports of some vicious breakage has me extremely hesitant, especially at the price of, roughly, two figures.

Maybe if IF releases an improved wave—perhaps as Blue Raspberry Cryotek or just the original, then I’d bite.

For now, though, I’m a touch squeamish.

That's what keeping me from transforming him back to robot mode.
That and the fact that I think the dragon mode is the main appeal of the figure, even though robot mode looks great too.

my 1st copy, the ball joints were tight, and would creak when moved and i have since lubed with some teflon dry lube to address that issue. also the head/chest didn't quite tab in properly in bot mode initially. tabbing one would pop out the other. because of that i've left it in dragon mode ever since as i had a 2nd copy ordered from another vendor.

however, my 2nd copy i just received after 2 month wait as i was told my order would be sent when they would get a second batch didn't have either issue. those same ball joints are smooth, and no head/chest tabbing issue in bot mode.

How about the issue with the hands falling out too easily?

ppl having issues with hands that loose? hmmm… neither copy has any hand issues. they fit in nicely and hold. definitely have to pull them out and wouldn't fall out on their own.

just transform my first copy back to bot mode. first time i've done it since transforming from bot to dragon when i first got it months ago. not as nerve racking compared to the first time. i took it slow, made sure i supported the plastic in places where the hinge/pivots where to avoid stressing the connections, and also felt more comfortable now that i was more familiar now with how things should be moved and where they should go.

i did see little areas where the red plastic is lighter in colour. it's a little disconcerting as i'm not sure if those are stress marks or if they are areas that the piece was removed from the sprue mold. the head tabbing issue is still there as well, but not as nearly as pronounced anymore, so i think it's okay.

it was quite rewarding getting it all done without needing to look at a video or instructions. and i did enjoy the intricacy and engineering of it all. i'm going to transform the second copy later today for the first time from bot to dragon to check it out to make sure there aren't any issues. also this will allow me to very if those discoloured plastic areas i see in my first copy are in the same areas. if they're not there, then i can identify those as being possible stress areas and keep my eye out on them when i handle the figures in the future.

If you can't decide which looks best, you can always pick a favorite based on number of toes. No consensus on number of toes here.
