Ah sorry, I missed that post. I think it's a cool figure and I'd love to be able to mess with it in person given it's size but that's also a reason why I won't be getting it. I don't have anywhere to put such a massive figure in my DBZ display.
I don't mind the scale. My "shelf canon" will be that the Oozaru form is 'only' 18-ish feet tall instead of 50.
Yeah same here. That we're even getting the figure makes me happy. The 'canon' size doesn't bother me at all, especially since Vegeta's canon height itself has changed multiple times. Looks to be a fantastic figure, but I won't be getting doubles of this one
I'll drink to that. Not gonna get him anytime soon, but I got no problem with him, though I do also wish he was bigger, haha. Just gotta be happy with what you get and have.
I remember way back then before SHF or even revoltech existed, when Kaiyodo was just starting to churn out highly articulated figures (Trigun, Eva, etc.), I thought why not create energy effects/blast/beam accessories to replicate those awesome scenes from the animation itself. Here we are and we have them. Now I'm thinking, as far as Dragon Ball is concerned, why not have figure variants with punched holes through their bodies for the more brutal moments? Maybe too violent with people getting offended by it? Lol! I'd like to see them especially with the newest Dragon Ball Super chapter out.
If we don't get anything similar to this for SHF Android 20 or with a new SHF Yamacha (Android Saga), then we're probably not gonna being seeing extra body effect pieces like this anytime soon.
Allow me to draw your attention to some of the effect pieces Mezco is doing: There's room for Bandai to step up its game.
Welp, you got me there. Quick aside, watch Mezco make a Birdman at this point after that Space Ghost. Gimme a Harvey remold, and i'll give the money.
Where are the talkshow host table and mic accessories? As a matter of fact, where is Harvey Birdman in his attorney power suit?
Woo-hoo! Got muh Androids. I don't mind the December date, as long as I GET them. As an aside, the process was super smooth. Either they tightened things up or the huge demand crush already passed through. Well, that Space Ghost is a pretty old release. If they haven't done any form of Birdman by now, I doubt they ever will. @Flapjacks, that would have been cool, but then what about his chair, the guest's chair, and the monitor? Psh, if you're gonna Coast To Coast, do it right or don't do it at all. Whoah, someone should 3D print that stuff and do Mezco Coast To Coast...
Bandai has done a number of effects parts, including a subline of nothing but generic effects pieces. I think it's Obitsu in Japan that also has done a lot of single-release parts in various colors too.
Dragon Ball Z S.H.Figuarts Bardock Price: 6,050 JPY (Taxes Included) Release: Jan 2021 Edit: Pre-orders open Aug 3, 2020 16:00 JST
Oh boy, I guess I'm going to spend every night for the next while religiously checking if the preorder shows up now that the release date is revealed.
I know they have the Gundam effects, the Tamashii effects, and the figure rise effects, but to my knowledge they haven't produced beam/blast/etc. effects.
