artsy smartsy interpretation to give the package visual interest?

I hope the case assortment is even, but knowing how Hasbro operates it will be 3 x Optimii, 2 x Megsy, 1 x Wave

 

Why does Megatron get five left hands and only one right hand? Is the Fusion Cannon really that obtrusive in his life?

I've never been big on non-transforming Transformer toys, but these do look good. I mostly want to see the characters who are a lot harder to achieve a transformation for, like the Prime Knock Out. It would be really cool to see the OC Action Masters to get figures in this line, although I'd be surprised if it happened.

 

Do they not transforme? Why do we just see this in robot mode on the back of the box?

 

They look really nice, awesome stuff!

 

Besides ab crunch and a few other minor areas, WFC figures seem to on average have a similar level of articulation.

I think I'd be very interested in characters like Trans Mutate, G1 Alpha Trion and a few others that are typically non Transforming characters etc

 

Honestly my only singular nitpick about these is I think they could use one or two additional faceplates   It's not really a problem for OP and Soundwave, and I guess I can't give solid thoughts until they're actually out, but I think the only thing stopping Megs from being a 10/10 figure is a couple more expression options. Maybe my standards are a little to high or I've been spoiled by other figure lines, but it's not too big a concern anyway. I'm still really interested in how these will pan out.

The whole point of the line... is that they don't Transform and are instead, highly articulated figures without Kibble.

I'm in on all 3, can't wait for the hunt!

Also, I really don’t like Megatron’s neck!

 

I could imagine parents buying these thinking they transform and then their kids will complain that they don't.

 

really nice packaging (Loe the RED logo). still hate what's inside. Wonder what the ones that aren't emulating low-detail Sunbow animation will look like?

if these had black series/marvel legends/Classified level of detailing I'd actually consider buying a couple despite a deep aversion to non-transforming Transformers.

 

I'm the opposite. I dont like the stale packaging (typical modern Hasbro graphics). Would have preferred something more 80s influenced like OG Hasbro TF packaging (with the grid lines and OG box art) or something incorporating images from the G1 cartoon or movie. Would have kept these sealed in box if they did.

The figures, OTOH, look awesome. Love the Sunbow/Toei designs. Although, I think Primes eyes are too pale and I'll be repainting those also, maybe adding light panel lining on all three of them.

 

Hate that they are exclusive to Walmart but love the designs and idea.

 

I'm looking forward to see how good these actually score as action masters judging from their ankle pivot. Truly the king of joints.

 

You know, if Soundwave was just a little bit more posable, he could probably transform...
