i think its the pryingthe thigh part that may or may not effect the knee joint below as you have to force the thigh open while the bottom in still pinned together. i do think it can be doen with minimal damage though after watching that.

I have definitly seen more expensive figures need more complicated fixes than this (sheridan and guttur) and no one really complained as much as this.

Same here. I'm just saying that for something like this, TE should have made something at least a bit more professional.

    Ratchet's on vacation, haha.

This. Legit it takes probably a minute to fix, why is there such an outrage? I get that this kind of thing shouldn't have happened, absolutely. QC checks should have caught this before shipping out. But at least it's nothing that you need to really walk on eggshells about, and isn't as much as a deep dive as, say, Prime's ratchet fix.

This could have been way worse. All the more reason to keep things civil, folks.

I'm not sure what people are reading. There really hasn't been that much complaining up to this point...a few concerns expressed, sure...and rightfully so. Nobody is claiming it a dumpster fire at this point, though. And believe it or not, there were complaints about Sheridan's leg...

Pretty sure it comes with 3 faces, the 2 faces you showed and a smiley face. The long, ironhide looking face is the original head while the short one with a wider mouth is the new head.

Okay. But the point is that TE-01 manages to be toon accurate in both modes.

Maybe it's not feasible to incorporate it into Mirage's transformation, I'm not sure, but they could've at least included swappable parts. One set with Gitanes, one with Citanes, and one that's blank, everybody wins.

FYI. You may want to talk to your seller regarding the issue. At least my seller will get his 1st batch a few days later than expected as TE is apparently doing a check before dispatching the stock.

This and other pics... is there a rule that all Mirages must be posed with that God awful idiotic looking broken pelvis thrust pose? :)

Not a fan of the pelvis thrust either, but apparently its to show "ab crunch" or similar posability and is almost standard requirement for all gundam figures to look more dynamic so i assume it bleeds over into transformers for some reason.

No offense intended, but I'd rather they not neuter their engineering options for the sake of a gimmick that addresses an issue that is, quite frankly, fairly pedantic.

Thanks to @4249david I managed to watch that latest video showing how to fix without damaging the knees, which has put me a bit more at ease (still shouldn't have to risk breaking the figure just to fix a misassembly issue but it's happened now).

One thing I noticed in the vid is no Gitanes/Citanes on the figure? Were they using a test sample?

Yes, I'm well aware that many people have preferences diametrically opposed to mine. Such is the human condition.

But surely we can at least agree on the swappable parts bit, no?

Indeed, and I never would dispute your right to like what you like. :)

My point was that I'd rather they engineer the figure as well as possible rather than catering to the ability to swap for what is essentially a pretty trivial detail. If it was blank or a C (both opposed to my desires) I'd be fine with it and seek to fix it on my own or just leave it, as long as the figure was made well. I'd only want such a thing if it didn't impact the playability or quality. Alas, I'm no engineer---so I don't know for sure---but I'm having visions in my head of those swappable panels constantly popping off during transformation like other things I've had, lol.

But seriously...is this an accidental preview of v2 that I'd want to get instead or is this a fan that took matters into his own hands (&nails).

I think it’s fair to say, that there will be v2...After all, TE has done several Primes. What will Mirage v2 include, that i don’t know. Not to mention, will there be v3 and v4...Clear version and something else.
