I was finally thinking about ordering Soundwave but he's out of stock on Walmart.com and is going for high prices on Ebay. Fucking scalpers.

Don't worry, he'll be back. Things were crazy with the G1 Soundwave reissue for awhile, but then he became readily available after a month or so.

Autobot Spike would be perfect for this line

Here are characters that should get figures in the R.E.D. line.

    Autobot X/Autobot Spike
    Nightbird
    Alpha Trion
    B.O.T.
    Transmutate
    Halonix Maximus
    Alana
    Kranix
    Arblus

Those are the only ones I can think of.

So you'd just want figures of characters that pretty much don't transform, for the sake of completing your CHUG shelf? I agree some of those would be neat, but it's not really the point of the line...

Dont forget about Rack and ruin:

Considering how much hasbro likes to reuse parts and molds in there other 6 inch lines, and how simple most of the marvel designs were compared to other forms of media im hoping we get alot of comic decos:

So this whole thing is a Walmart exclusive, at least in the US. Nobody knows about its distribution in other parts of the world, as far as I know. Now, the Netflix redeco series is also a Walmart exclusive in the US but at least some of those figures are getting released normally by Takara and can be preordered on sites that sell Japanese transformers.

So would it be realistic to expect the RED series to be treated similarly? They're transformers-branded but I assume that they're made by other design teams than the people who do transformers and that Takara is therefore not involved. But it's still toys of characters that are relevant to Takara and their customers.

The Netflix figures are ALL getting a Takara release, HobbyLink Japan still has most of the first wave in stock. So that's probably what is going to happen with the RED stuff.

Well I am pretty sure this line is gonna kill the Super 7 reaction TFs figures. \"also non transforming\". Plus of the R.E.D line over Super 7 they are two inches taller, have articulation and accessories.. Bye bye Reaction line.. Hello R.E.D line

I just hope they try and do some sort of scaling. As I really don\'t want a 6 inch Bee next to my six inch prime.

Additionally I don\'t mind the fact they don\'t Transform.. i\'m not a kid anymore. Oh sure when I was like 9 years old I looked for every excuse to transform them in all of my make believe stories there was always a reason to do it every 5 mins.. but what an I 4 or 40?! I don\'t sit arround and go pew pew and make them go at each other anymore. Now it\'s about having a bad ass looking shelf for me with as accurate to the cartoon as possible figures and I am hoping these will be it.

Love me some Sunbow art and some marvel TFs art too. And yea if they keep some sort of scale to it that would be great. The reaction line is trying to so I would imagine Hasbro will as well. This line should kill the reaction line 2 inches taller, articulation, accessories and better face and head sculpts. So your getting a lot more for your 20 bucks. That being said I have like 12 or so reaction TFs but if these are any good and they look like they will be I'll drop the reaction line sell those off and get these.. I just hope they make more then a few bots and call it quits. Lots of companies do the 4 Megs, Prime, Soundwave and Bee and then stop.

Let's hope for that, then. I can see why they don't immediately announce which other stores will have an exclusive line in the future, but the lack of certainty is a little annoying.

I wonder if they will repaint Soundwave as Marvel Soundwave or as Soundblaster or SG Soundwave.

True, but with Hasbro and Takara being in much closer contacts than before, and releasing pretty much the same stuff on both sides of the ocean, I wouldn't worry. Think about the repaint/retoons Takara did too, like Star Convoy and the Seacons... most if not all of that stuff has been coming to the West through Generations Select releases. Most "exclusives" in the Generations price range are just timed exclusives at this point, and you're gonna get pretty much the same toy wheter you get the Takara or the Hasbro version. Worst case scenario, Takara is gonna give their release of the RED line a different name and package, but the actual content will be the same. That's what I'm bettin on, anyway.

The reason I never bought any of the reaction figures is because they look closer to the AKOM side of G1 animation. Especially the Rumble figure. I almost pulled the trigger on Prime and Megs, but once these were announced that was done.

This might have been answered already but why is their paint flying off on the box art?
