Lol I wrote a “Hey, don’t worry, Target preorders are usually up for a while” post at like, 8:55 but abandoned it and now it’s stuck at the bottom of the page mocking me for my foolishness and optimism
Well, that sucked. Looked away because I've been hassled about WFH idle time and Target is telling me to come back in August.
Of course they will. It's more of if we get them now, we won't have to worry about them for a while. I know I'll get the rest eventually, it'd just be nice not to have it in the back of my mind. I'm going back to bed. If Target decides to be nice for once and puts them back up...
Adding it to your cart online isn’t the equivalent of having it in your possession in-store. And this isn’t a new phenomenon with just Target; every online sales channel operates under this concept. Have you never shopped online before? Online, it’s not first come first serve whoever adds it to the cart first, it’s first come first serve whoever checks out and completes the purchase first. and it’s been like this forever.
welp; never mind the preorders- they're ALREADY OUT. https://twitter.com/preterniadotcom/status/1285567321310998530
Well, keep in mind that they don't give their full allotment towards preorders. The website will get more they just aren't allowing their full allotment to go towards the preorders for some reason. And, of course, the stores will get their allotment as well. I don't get why they do shit this way... as I've said before... as a former logistics manager for both Target and Wally World... they're stuck in the past (plus they want to lure you to the store for obvious reasons). And it's harder to compete with them on the internet unless you too want to start using bots and the like. And should probably be changed. It's an outdated concept. Especially when online shopping is becoming the norm. The problem is these companies want to continue to run on code that was outdated the week it was implemented. They haven't figured out it's 2020.
I honestly don't get why this stuff sells out so fast. Who buys these $20 toys for $100+? I want to set up a booth there and clear out piles of CW Groove and SHF Vegeta. This. It's trivial to manage a cart better. I have code to do it but no real market to apply it.
I'm going to Target later today to hunt for wave one so I may see if I can find them. A few guys I know have talked the clerk out of the street date before.
Yes of course I have. Why would you ask a ridiculous question like that? I'm just recognizing the problem. That is the first step towards curing it. Just imagine how many more people who had items in their cart could have actually purchased something today instead of items going to some bot for ridiculous resale prices. Let someone hold an item (pre-purchase) for a short amount of time like 10 minutes, before the cart is emptied for someone else to buy.
Also, anyone know what Ile they will be stocked in? I was thinking next to the Ghostbuster, Star wars, and lightning collection
