Due to obvious reasons, I only got 5 Transformers this year, compared to 21 last year, and all those were in January. i recently ordered Leader class Blackout but that's gonna be about it for this year. I don;t really mind, but I'm curious to know if this happened to anyone else.

 

I've sort of lost most interest in the toys, yeah.

 

I’m mostly finding myself out of luck. Most of the figures I’ve wanted sell out within a month and never pop back up again. I’ve been looking for Siege Omega Supreme but I don’t want to pay the insane aftermarket prices. Figured I’d have some time to grab him since Fort Max and Trypticon were in stock for around 2 years after they were initially released. And it doesn’t seem like he’s coming back anytime soon unfortunately.

 

Not due to disinterest for sure because I think the toys are GREAT.

Actual purchase slowdown was moreso because of;
- Budgetary reasons : committing a lot of money to my own startup biz and building a new house.
- Shipping during this pandemic.
- Lack of space ( which my new house should solve when it's done ).

 

Some lines I collect have but adding Transformers to my lot has taken up the slack.

 

Slowed down earlier but ramping up again with the latest ER release pre-orders. >_<

 

My collection slowed down a lot since potp.
I prettty much skipped Siege apart from Skyfire, Springer, Apeface, and Spinister and Crosshairs. I did get the Powerdashers.
The only Earthrise toy I own is Grapple, but I'm waiting for Scorponok, Snapdragon, Doubledealer, and a bunch of Quintessons.

What a difference with the days of Combiner Wars and Titans Return when I used to buy almost the entire line.

Next year will be the same for me.
I love Beast Wars, but I am collecting the 3p legends scaled lines and am will cherry pick Hasbro's new chug versions.
Altough with the SS 86 toys my chug spending might return to pre-siege levels, at least if Kingdom as a good share of late G1 to offer me along with the Beast Wars toys.

And the pace this month is brutal: Scorponok, DD, Jets, Selects, AU Op etc.

 

You and i both know why it slowed down for lots of people this year... 

 

Mine has, but mostly due to lack of need versus lack of available options.

Earthrise hasn’t been so hot to me but Kingdom is going to make an attempt on my wallet for sure whenever that day comes.

Yes because I placed heavy restrictions upon myself for budgetary reasons.

 

The main slowdown I have had is Earthrise having a slow roll out. I have recently preordered a lot of things however and am now playing the waiting game. I will have to slow down collecting soon, as my daughter is going to be born soon. She will be our first so my attention will focus on her.

 

I slowed down collecting brand new figures a bit this year due to a mix of various reasons, such as a lack of "MUST-HAVE" figures that I'm interested in, limited budget, having other hobbies, and university academic-related stuffs to deal with.

There's still some new upcoming figures that I'm interested with like Earthrise Sky Lynx, Selects Centurion Drone or Selects Rotorstorm, but I'm not rushing at getting them so for now I can live without owning them. I still buy TF figures occasionally, but so far it's mostly old discontinued, second-hand TF stuffs that I missed out years ago.
