Man, that is even crazier!!! You didn't actually make two sets for the damaged look did you?

Haha, no, once I had the master shot safe and banked I was free to 'battle damage' the rig. Rearranged many of the parts and pieces to approximate the sinking image (it's not as precise a recreation, as I didn't feel it was necessary to build a new structure when I could reuse my existing one).

That is cool though that it could pull double duty.

You mean you built that beautiful thing and then purposefully destroyed it???

Seriously though, I may steal some of your design for a static display of that scene. If I ever get around to another diorama.

Well it was too big and too flimsy (mainly just a bunch of cardboard!) to be of any long-lasting use. And now that it's battle damaged it's even less appealing!

Funny, it always amazed me to hear how sets for tv shows and movies were 'struck' right after filming (i.e. chucked in a skip!), but here I am doing the same :lol  But when you've done with it there's not much need (or storage space) to keep it. Not as if there was any great cost involved (probably the most expensive thing about it was the three cans of primer I got through!!).

I just tossed out my first two dioramas. There’s something oddly satisfying about building diorams that incorporate techniques that the previous ones didn’t. That great dio of yours served its purpose and really sweetened the stop-motion video. And often times, they’re single-use. The reason I don’t make many dioramas that resemble the show is because 80% of the locations are single-use, and I’m out of room now.

Finally got the last of my stockpile of footage edited! I filmed this back in May and I'm really happy how it came out. First time using lots of sound effects.

Thanks, I like to throw in little easter eggs. Perhaps this oil rig assault is some kind of toon-universe origin for Circuit Breaker!
It's usually just Photoshop manipulation, but here is a rare instance of using an MP accessory (Megatron's laughing face). Some frames it's unaltered, and some I have edited it into slightly smaller shapes to create the illusion of laughter.
It's an odd thing but you feel as if Prime has an expression here ("How the f**k did Megatron just put me in the sea")... Even though that's literally just his stock face! Context I guess! :lol
