If, say for sake of argument, it was up to their A-game quality pieces, had options for his various looks, replaceable zombie parts (see Quietus) and was an all round Wrecker badass?

Beyond the recent Siege figure, it's probably fairly safe to say TT probably have this guy way down the pecking order for masterpiece - it at all. And when MMC's Spartan is the only effort currently out there, the door is certainly open for FT or a company of comparable quality to have another crack.

Why? Because he's a damn great character, that's why, with an incredibly rich backstory, and a powerful representation of him in MP form, currently lacking in the marketplace, would remind people why, defining collector's Wrecker displays with their Springers etc for years to come.

So would ya ...?

FT are mostly geewunners, I can't think of a scenario where they make anything other than G1 stuff...

 

My plan was a G1 shelf with the Target 2006 cast extras, but I do love Impactor and the Wreckers. I'd have to be in.
It's such a dangerous line though - I feel if I go down that route I'll want to have all sorts of Cybertronian characters, from Straxus to Scrounge himself. Who couldn't want a minibot that turns into a single wheel!

No. I don't trust Fans Toys to pull it off, and Impactor isn't an important enough character to pay the premium FT's stuff is commanding these days.

 

Seems pointless to me.

Character really only has any importance for me IDW wise and MMC have nailed that.

If a company wanted to go G1 style he'd need to be zombified like he was for most of his appearances in the UK Marvel run.

 

So I guess we got an initial top heavy wave of negativity re: the character early on in terms of who came first into the thread, which is posters' perogative. But hopefully as more fans of the character show up, those figures will start to balance out.

At least, I'm hoping.    

Completing the core G1 characters?

Wow, thats harsh.   Having seen their Astrotrain who is not dissimilar in build, head sculpt and colour, I entirely trust them, tbh. I think in the unlikely event they did him, they'd prove a lot of people wrong.

... You're aware he is technically G1, he's from the Marvel comics, IDW just recycled him for their own thing.

Also yeah I'd grab one in the Marvel style, a theoretical animation model would be easy to translate from Marvels strips.

 

Me too, in a heartbeat!   The thread seems to have been blitzed by Impactor haters right out of the gate, which is unfortunate!   I may have sealed his FT doom!

I should have added in my comment earlier I like the character and remember the Marvel UK G1 stories well.

Again though make zombie Impactor if you want my cash.

Ah, the numbers are creeping up for him now, as I expected ....

 

Fans Toys makes good-looking robots, no doubt. But too often they have articulation issues, QC issues, and/or unpleasant transformations while charging 1.5x-2x what other 3Ps would. I'll put up with it for a major character like Astrotrain who still doesn't have a decent alternative, but not Impactor.

 

I find it hilarious the number of topics that go "If FansToys (or some other company) were to do X character...".

 

Yep, it's not original boba, but I'd like to see regardless.
