Again, though, the blue lower legs and red arms are on the original Earthrise box render, which is the exact same picture but with the shield. Maybe they actually corrected it on the toy, maybe they just took the render they had and modified it and the toy is the same with some weathering, we don't really know.

As far as walmart and shelfwarming, I dunno, maybe it's just because I don't have a ton of Walmarts here but I rarely see things shelfwarm, especially Transformers. They seem to keep just the bare minimum in stock (it doesn't help that this is scalper central, I guess). Unless they have huge displays outside of the "normal" toy section I'm not counting on ever seeing Soundwave in the store. I don't think I've ever seen a Marvel Legends exclusive either.

    I think that be cool
but what sword type? Would it be a War for Cybertron? Or some other toyline? Potp? Titan Return?

Anyway if it is indeed ER Optimus I will totally try to get it. Nemesis Prime is legitimately my all time favorite character of Transformers

    I'm just saying what Sword?
Megatron isn't relevant. Titans Return is what they used for Takara Tomy Siege Nemesis Prime.

Almost guaranteed to be an ER prime redeco. Same number of steps and the box mentions his Arms Micron.

Honestly, at this point I’d largely call Siege a waste of a year. Still had some gems, but between Earthrise repeating many main characters with far better versions and Netflix reissuing them with far better paint, Siege looks pretty “pbtthththhththt”

Speak for yourself. I'm very happy with my WFC: Siege toys. Much prefer their take on the datsuns and vans, Megatron, and even Soundwave. (Never been fond of the boombox. But a cybetronian dropship is totally my jam.) And although I mostly prefer the look of Earthrise Optimus, I don't give a shit about the trailer, so going with Siege Optimus instead was an easy choice.

Also, on the subject of that leaked Cyclonus.... there's no way he's not part of next year's Studio Series '86 subline. They're not throwing a brand new mold into a surprise box, especially not one that looks that fucking good. I'm already sold on it, and the leaked toy doesn't even have any paint!

I quite agree. The new Kingdom line next year I think is totally not worth it. Siege is my Number one favorite toyline

Bruh, I didn't even mention Kingdom in that post. And you're not actually agreeing with me, even though you think you are. Because while Earthrise has been a huge disappointment to me, I could not be MORE stoked for Kingdom, given that Beast Wars is my second favorite Transformers cartoon.

The Prime renders don’t seem indicative of the figure we may ultimately get. The thighs are not blue on leader ER Prime

Yeah same thing when beast wars transmetals came out and I had the cast in their original beast forms. Said the same when transmetal 2 and optimal Optimus came out. “I ALREADY HAVE THESE CHARACTERS!” Same with beast machines when the whole cast got new figures for the sequel. Boy was I livid when a armada and Energon came out and I had to get another Optimus and Megatron and others! Furious when cyberton was done and they had the nerve to make another Optimus, Megatron starscream and hotshot and red alert. Don’t even get me started when I got the first editions of prime only for everyone to get other toys in the later release.

oh wait no I wasn’t because I know what I was doing. Getting figures in their sequel series. Just like how earthrise is a sequel to siege.

I’d argue, overall, there was a lot more actual difference between any of those characters series-to-Series and Siege with its “almost kinda their G1 robot modes and almost-kinda-but-not-really-cybertronian, but-not-really-Earth-either” alt modes and Earthrise’s “totally G1 robot modes with totally G1 earth modes”, and I doubt anyone expected so many of the same characters to be repeated the next year when they went all-in on Siege.

makes it look like a totally wasted opportunity that Siege didn’t actually go full-on Cybertronian instead of the bizarre half measure they landed on.

Yeah, the Transmetals were totally different bodies that didn’t resemble their previous bodies at all. I personally think Siege should have gone wild with their Cybertronian forms. But they didn’t. It is what it is. Buy Earthrise if you want. If you don’t, then don’t buy them.

how was it half landed when the point of siege was to emulate exactly what the pilot of the original cartoon did. Make cybertronian modes while giving them robot modes looked like their character models while also giving them altmode that looked similar to their future looks. They succeeded with that.

I’m sorry your expectations are too high and you wanted something else but they are exactly what they are. Too high

I only wished for a wheeljack and bumblebee cybertronian alt mode. I am ok with the rest. Also, siege soundwave can emulate the cassette mode, he is a great figure like with most of Siege.

Im also happy with the fact that earthrise cuased siege to drop in price by some characters being similar, like i LOVE the siege tetra jets and i got thunder cracker for 16 bucks after the ER seekers were shown. Ive got a 10 dollar siege magatron that i plan on painting in cykill colors whenever i get the time.

I totally forgot the original renders had blue legs. My bad. But the grey tinted windows and weathering are new any way you slice it. I remain excited.

THANK YOU! Everyone gets an opinion, but I hate that "SIEGE was a waste" refrain. Sorry you feel that way but I LOVE that line. Prime, the Tetrajets, Magnus, Soundwave, Hound, Cog, Sideswipe are all among my alltime favorites. It's possibly my favorite line ever and I love that Earthrise evolved from it.....that was the narrative....which is why switching to Beast Wars irks me so much, but maybe they fill a narrative here too.

It's totally fine to say something is not for YOU, but that doesn't mean it's a waste. Far from it.
