I'm not really a fan of the transformation. I think it's very impressive that such a sleek bot folds up into a ball, but it's really not fun getting there. The ring was the worst part for me. I don't know why those pieces have to be so blasted hard to get together. Had to give up on the southern one... I'll try again tomorrow. Still, I like the way it looks in both modes, despite the compromises with planet mode.

 

I was about to reply and tell you I'm right there with you. No updates, east coast, in the June 17th group, missed the $250 but still got in on $300, opted for slow boat, waiting sucks.

Hope he does - it would be a shame for him to miss out on this one (its certainly in top 3 of the figures i own), particularly as a lot of reviewers have not done robot to planet on film.

It can be difficult as the hooking tabs are just too big given the design. I modded mine by taking down the hook clips by sanding down - a lot, but also to a slight angle. Photos posted a way back on p418.
I think it was @Mykltron (apologies if wrong, but i always credit if i can) who used a different method of leaving the hooks alone but taking off the middle tab which would allow more movement in the hooking parts.

Probably. I'm not gonna be like, "yeah, absolutely," cuz it does still happen that USPS ends up keeping something for a while, but they've almost always gotten stuff to me within a few days once it's in their hands. The one exception for me was not too long ago, I had a package make it to my local post office and seemingly disappear for three weeks. I joked that they just wanted to give me a birthday present cuz it finally did arrive on my birthday.

Same delivery date as you..? My last processing location was CA three days ago so it's making the trip in 5 days..? Color me happily shocked, tho part of me is telling the other part not to get its hopes up just yet.

 

So many of you seem close to having theirs arrive and I'm still waiting on showz to send me a shipping notice that it left. Today is day 4. I know it said in the email to expect 2-5 days... Way to wait till the last expected day, I guess. lol

 

You won't regret getting Gabriel, he'll feel so much better in hand that Scorponok. He's huge, has the right proportions (Scorp is just off), is heavy, he's stable. Unfortunately the leg joints can be super stiff and the ratchets will break if you force it. I recommend putting silicon lubricant in all the ratchet joints right at the start.

It's pegged in and will pop out really easily.

This is exactly what I'm going to do. Handful of these little guys will make a great scene

 

What about wd40? ... I like the smell....

 

Has the potential to damage the plastic. At least I'd Google it before using it to make sure it's safe.

So do I! But I think it just won't work on plastic. You need silicon. Get quite a runny one so it can get inside the joints on its own.
