You know, with the exception of the arms, this toy got the closest to screen accuracy than the other 07 toys. He was really fun as well!!
I have a buddy here in FL that's ALL about G1, and even he's at the point where he's done buying the ER line because at this point, they're all pointless because of the SS G1 toys that will be coming out.

But I personally think that Hasbro has gotten completely lazy with some of these G1 toys with the damn partsforming, and shellformers. I only bought ER "Leader" Prime because I wanted an accurate G1 Prime, but that's it, and that's all I'm ever gonna buy, G1 related.

I for the life of me can't understand why fans are ok with this backwards engineering in this day and age specially for $20 toys. I said this before, and I'll say it again. If we fans just accept these lazy designs, Hastak is gonna keep taking advantage and make the designs smaller, and more simplistic but charge more.

A perfect example is the Bumblebee Cyberverse line. They finally came out with decent toys for the line, that aren't hollow and better articulated, but they're $20, but are even smaller than the SS deluxes.

These toys are getting smaller and crappier, but more expensive.
Man, that Prime is HUUUGE!! Nice collection though!!
    Damn, he looks really good!!!

Honestly I couldn't be more happy about the new Earthrise reveals.

The more repaints that Hasbro releases for the G1 fans means they save more money which they can then use to make brand new molds for movie characters.

So far, we don't know if Hasbro will have anything next week for SDCC@home, in fact Hasbro hasn't even announced any exclusives for the convention. But to stay on topic, We are overdue for a Studio Series reveal, and I really hope that is soon.

How selfish of you Bay fans. We want more rehashes of the same guys we’ve been getting for 36 years and counting!

Oh yes someone’s finally doing it!

Please do update us on your progress :D

    How's this for creative:

Supposing we ever get a Hatchet; a repaint with a new lion head as Cybertron Leobreaker, but with the vehicle mode painted as his pre-beast body, Overhaul.

And no, Leobreaker/Overhaul has no connection to G1. I know the bias here.

I think ER Ironhide's shield could be cool if - assuming it pegs into the shoulders - you cut off one of the pegs so he could transform intact, and also now he has a giant single-side shoulderpad like the Zaku from Mobile Suit Gundam.

Jesus fuck, good luck with those stripes dude. I wanna do them but oh god. Crossing my fingers, toes, metacarpals, and metatarsals for your masking tape to work.

That's a very ambitious project you've taken with Lockdown, I wish you the best of luck. :thumb

BTW, Jazz being gray is movie accurate. Perhaps you could repurpose the silver Jazz as being plated in laser-reflective NEST armor?

UT remolds of studio series, now THAT'S what I'm talkin about.

Also, come to think of it, why hasn't Unique Toys done some UT stuff? The name fits...

I had an idea to make a deluxe sized peru kill a long time ago by cutting up the ss vehicle shell but I realized I needed to make an entirely new body for Lockdown from scratch and also I needed a different Lamborghini vehicle shell that was easier to cut up. SS Lockdowns are pretty expensive now so I just want to build him entirely from scratch except maybe for the head.

Anyone know where I can find a studio series sized Lamborghini made of plastic that would be easy to cut apart?

That sounds ambitious! If only we could see it.

I apologise for repeating this old post I made again but I created the original blueprint for the Lockdown project you're carrying from @erwinsims I hope you mind checking it to see if it works:
