I'm glad I upgraded to the BMB prime, I might swap for BA prime, but now that i've dipped into the OS MPMs, it feels pretty good. My hide shadow should get here in a week or so, and my prime and brawl in about a month. Starscream came last week and so did ROTF Megs. Can't wait for the last autobot

Fun fact is that I actually did the same thing on the same photo! altrough I used a black and green line to show their height difference.. also the Ironhide can be made a little higher when you alter the hips a little (mistransformation)
    20200712_215131.jpg
When it comes to what Prime to display I must say the original leader still works in both vehicle and botmode.. Ironhide even scales well then.

I also have the BMB Prime and Ironhide but they are to big.. they are more HA scale than MPM imo
so while they are beautiful they are to big.. BA Prime isnt in scale either and I personally am not a big fan of his truckmode (the rear is 12mm to wide from the fueltanks aft) IMG_4083.jpg

Just happy to have the 2007 movie Autobot cast complete.  Now to finish up the Decepticons of the same...

This will never be 100% accurate but I scaled down the pics as follows to get an idea of what would work if we pretend the scale chart someone on these forums made is gospel.

The first is if we make MPM04 1:1 with the Prime in the scale chart. This clearly shows MPM04 is too small as the other MPM's are now giants.
    opscale.jpg

Then if we scale MPM11 to Ratchet in the scale chart things look a lot better. Ratchet, Bee and Jazz all pretty much are "perfect" scale with each other, however Prime and Ironhide are too small.
    11scale.jpg

I don't own BA Prime so took a photo of LS03 with Bee and Jazz, and scaled LS03 to Prime in the scale chart. This is pretty solid, but LS03 is a tiny bit too big. I think BA Prime would be the sweetspot, or potentially a tiny bit too small. Given that these 3 are about right that implies MPM11 will be too. That just leaves Ironhide. I have LS09 on the way so I'll see how this looks when I have it in hand as it is an OS of MPM06.
    lsscale.jpg

At the end of the day, do what you want! Personally, I need OS Ironhide and OS OP in my collection and am fine with the official MPM sizes for Bee, Jazz and Ratchet.

Hasbro MPM has the wrong scale size here, here\'s the size order for them Optimus Prime(Heights: 29cm / 11.42\" Movie Scale 28ft) Ironhide(Height: 24cm/ 9.45\" 22ft)  Ratchet(10.51 Inches 20ft) Bumblebee(6.5\" 16ft) and Jazz(6 inches (15.25cm) 15ft) 2 Wei Jiang MPM figures and 3 Hasbro MPM figures will be correct scale size figures

Don't think we only care about 3rd party, we care about what looks best to us. I'm happy you find the mpm looks good enough for your collection, some of us (myself included) do strive to improve it. I have all the official mpm figures, doesn't mean I'd not want it to look more sensible in terms of how they look together.

Discussing how our views are isn't really complaining (ok, some of us do :p ), but tbh saying "third party sucks" is in itself complaining, no?

The price at Amazon JP dropped, but is still higher than Target’s. Is it worth getting JP version?

With the 30% discount Ratchet is the same price as Starscream with his 30% discount. I’m still not sure why Ratchet is so expensive. He should be cheaper than Starscream. I’m in Canada so I may wait for the inevitable Toys R Us clearance sale. Ratchet has already been on sale there once and he’s not even close to released yet. Amazon Japan also tends to put MPM figures on clearance after release.

I have LS09 now, the OS MPM06 (Ironhide), and I must say this is pretty damn perfect; MPM11 Ratchet will fit right in.

Pardon the transformation of Ironhides chest. Just got the figure and displayed it as is until I get around to messing with it proper.

EDIT: Another comparison using LS03 as a scale reference.

Clearly you've never touched a third party figure.

Regardless, get over it. The forum is here for people to express their views, opposing or similar. Telling people to shut up because it doesn't suit your narrative isn't conducive as to the entire purpose of the forum.

I like how the fans care about scale more than the animators.
