Someone pointed out that the Cybertronian hieroglyphs printed on the 2nd Netflix spoiler box translates into the words "Fantron Giza," which was the name of Nemesis Prime's Arms Micron partner from the Takara Tomy Arms Micron/Prime toy line. Fingers crossed that this spoiler box will be Earthrise Nemesis Prime, and that Nemesis Prime will appear in the Netflix series.  

 

The translation is actually "Fangtron Giza". I'm thinking Giza will be some small static figure stored in the Play-Doh, because Fangtron to me sounds like a good name for a reuse of the Slitherfang mold. So far as we know from the description, there's only one battlemaster in the box, and so far none of the currently existing battlemasters would be a good fit for Giza in my opinion.

I haven’t been collecting long enough to comment on Universe Hound or T30 Springer.
Siege Springer and ER CJ are far from perfect. Springers alt modes are extremely lackluster, and Cliff Jumpers chest looks totally naked without the Autobot symbol.

siege Jetfire and Omega are perfect to me. As are ER Optimus minus the trailer and Siege Mirage.

 

No they aren't. Earthrise is as much a kids toy as the star wars black series is. The cheapo cyberverse stuff is for kids, they are targeting adults with this stuff.

well worth tracking down, especially if you can find Henkei Hound - he's an all-timer in my book, and comes with the best CHUG ravage. The Henkei version has a much better deco.

T30 springer also isn't perfect, but he's a lot more interesting/exciting the Siege Springer.

Dissappointing, the MM's are the only thing in WFC I'm buying, and even then Warden disappointingly half-assed it even though objectively the individual figures are better than G1.

 

Wait, so is Dirge’s cockpit clear or orange? The original leak showed him with a white cockpit, but it also gave him a white face. What do you guys think? I’d prefer when the cockpit and gunmetal face.

 

Giza was also the name of the bird/sword thing with POTP Nemesis Prime IIRC.

 

Unpopular opinion: Partsforming is pretty cool sometimes.

If I have Punisher loaded up with weapons, or War Machine armored up or Spider-man with webs and other things it's fun. Transformers is no different. It seems the ingenuity of the designers is more important than the fun factor of the toy for some people. Which is fine, I'm just saying Ironhide and Bumblebee look fun, doesn't bother me in the slightest about their roofs.

I seriously think I am getting EVERYTHING shown today. I guess not liking Beast Wars is a good thing because I will need relief.

 

Well going by the CG render canopy being clear and the product shots being orange, I think we will be getting orange canopies with gunmetal faces like the product shots.

 

I think Prowl deserves a bit more love. I know the clip-on wheels are bit of a turn off. This may be my bias speaking (Prowl is the character that introduced me to stuff outside the movies, and hes my fav character from IDW phase 1), but i honestly think he looks really good. Ironically, even though his Siege figure was the exact type of cybertronian vehicle i like, his robot mode left a lot to be desired. However this Prowl is perfect. Everything i like about him is represented perfectly: the door wings, the back of the car as his legs, i even like his head, even thought thats just Bluestreak. He's the main reason Im getting that 2 pack, and Ironhide is a very cool bonus

 

Not only was it his Arms Micron but also the bird sword dude from the POTP figure.

 

Factual information: Two waves, 16 figures, and we know a third wave is coming with at least 4 deluxes.

 

I really hate how they're trying to market the partsforming on Elita, Arcee, and Bee as hoverboards/shields. On Ironhide and Cliffjumper/Hubcap (especially ironhide) they actually make decent looking shields but bumblebee just looks like he's holding half of his alt mode in his left hand and Elita and Arcee just look like they're standing on their alt modes. I don't really have a problem with partsforming like this but I really hate how they try to make it seem like something it isn't.

Revealed - Late February. Available - mid to late april. However, these might take a bit longer since by the time they were revealed they had already finished manufacturing them and even gave them out to people at toyfair.
