    Absolutely. It's pretty brittle. So...

I removed the original head from the neck plate by simply drilling an access hole down from the top of the neck, and then tapped out the pin from the new hole. It took just a few minutes.

    IMG_20200716_095654__01.jpg

And installing the replacement was easy. Luckily the plug from the head matched the socket in the original plate.

mine broke there but on the opposite side, my figure has turned into a delicately pose and don’t touch which is really disappointing

That really sucks! Glad you were able to save it. It’s good to be handy like you are! Have you done any other mods to yours? The chest windows look like they sit really nicely on yours. I know you have the additional middle chest part.

Also, I’ve decided that either tonight or tomorrow night I’m gonna attempt to transform this monster again. Doing so is also an attempt to a) fix the broken pieces, and b) assess whether or not I really want to try and hollow out space for the bigger head to transform.

Thanks! I did bring the chest windows closer in by cutting material away. No other mods.

I can't get the led lights to activate. I watched this review on how, but it isn't working for me.

#EDIT -- turns out the new batteries I used were dead! Got new batteries and works just like it's supposed to.

I'll never let this down. Might as well change my username to "Upside Down Sword" :(
Oh right now I remember your mods! Looks great.

I was hoping that my (non-LED) head would have the same head opening gimmick so I could attempt to install my own LEDs but no dice. It's either molded or glued together.

Here are the pictures of the mods. Not the best, but you can see the clip I made to the matrix chamber pin in the green circle. Ine mote thing, i had to remove one of the screws that holds the back to the torso, but it doesn't interfere with transformation and doesn't affect the stability.

Glad the future did the trick :thumb  if it were me I'd leave it as is now so there's still the option of neck movement unless you really want it permanently facing forward?

I went with the BMB Aoyi Ls -12 Megatron
Seemed like the better buy to me. Tho it was a tough choice given the Wei Jiang version looks so nice. But I’m happy with my Aoyi Mech LS12

Holy shit it looks like he took a hadouken to the insides! Thanks for the guide. I assume his torso is still stable?
I mean, the head can still turn just fine. If anything I'm trying to figure out how to cut into the neck to get better upward movement from the head.

My issue with it, is simply for me it is too big. It may be more accurate to the scale charts, but it makes him dwarf the BA prime. The model wizard one looks more like how big he actually was in the movie, towering over prime, but not making prime look like he could never beat him.

Oh man that looks really good!
Yeah, the torso is perfectly stable. If I remember correctly, the shoulder joint and one other screw keep the front and back half of the torso together. I do not regret the mods at all. Looking at a standard Prime feels wrong since I'm used to the slightly larger head.

just becareful when you try to transform, the panel is not strong enough to stand the shoulder parts rotate, so you have to push and hold the panel, and I have report the situationm so leafage design will cast the panel now, cheers!!

That's awesome! But man, I tried to transform him last night about halfway to see how the heck I was gonna do this and I still don't see how it can work.... maybe I just need to plan it out more? Also, my DMS neck plate isn't letting the shoulder pads slide all the way in for truck mode!

    IMG_3875.jpg IMG_3876.jpg
Yep this has happened to me as well haha! The new head is sooo much better proportioned that I don't think I can ever look at the previous head again. At first for the first night it looked too big, but then once I adjusted (and watched some movie clips on youtube again) my brain decided that this head size is sooo much better and my pics confirmed that.
You're awesome! My DMS head panel is 3D printed too so I am going to take this advice as well.
