Can someone propose a gently bastardized timeline/story that makes any sense for this to happen at this point in the story? The autobots are sleeping or long gone in the future when the Predacons and Maximals are present. Prime and Primal next to each other is not something I needed to see, and we didn't need to alter the perfectly fine Beast Wars story to get it.

 

Now this is a hell of a thing to wake up to.

It's been rumored that for some reason, the G1 guys time travel back to when BW happens.

And I don't get why you seem to have a problem with Prime and Primal next to each other, given this actually happened in Beast Wars proper very briefly after Primal returned the healed spark of Prime back to his body.

 

But like why? The whole point of Beast Wars was to shield the G1 timeline from future Megatron. The Optimal Optimus story is great, that's totally enough, but this looks like they're going into battle together.

I am also hopeful that by tying this in with some G1 characters that some people who were hesitant on Beast Wars characters get a whole new perspective of them.

 

I suspect it has to do with the reason why they time travel back in the first place, which is currently unknown.

I think galvatron is going to the past and accidentally went to the g1 time right before they crash into earth then he lays out his plan and goes into the beast wars earth thats why the g1 bots have to the beast era or atleast what i think

They also didn't sell well and the franchise almost went away, hell modern g2 repaints dont sell well like the cw combiners and siege combat hero megatron

 

Real beast forms might have only been one season, but that was still half of the series. That's just what the cast look like to most people. Also, Takara knows that Japanese fans hated BW Metals, so they probably balked at the idea of selling those designs again.

 

i'm assuming its fake because 2020 is the year that crushes your hopes and desires into a fine powder.

 

1. They're probably the ones who leaked this to begin with to drive interest.
2. We got rumors and a postage stamp sized pic "leaked". They would have full HD pics.

I don't think you need to worry about ruining the original Beast Wars show. this is just something new, with familiar character designs, like how many times "G1" has gotten revamped.

I just noticed it looks like it’s Unicron above the Nemesis in the top left corner. You can kind of make out his planet ring and maw.

I also agree that the bottom right corner bot that is running does look like Arcee.

The top right corner looks like it’s just BW Megatron with some randoms or ships following him.
